Owners of single-bowl yogurt makers and cups. Tell me, which one is more convenient? and is there a place to be 2 s on the farm? can somehow be used for different purposes?

Marisha Aleksevna
I have one container, it's more convenient for me, I don't have to fiddle with cans. I put the finished yogurt right in the container in the refrigerator and then I take as much as necessary. At first I also wanted to buy another yogurt maker, because you can make yogurt or kefir in one, and sour cream or something else in the other, but I tried to make it in a slow cooker (I don't have the "Yogurt" mode there), it turned out well and decided that I will use both a yogurt maker and a slow cooker. Of course, it turns out that the multicooker is busy for a long time, but I have two of them, so there is no problem for me. The only thing I regret is that the container in the yogurt maker is only 1 liter.

I have Brand 401. I like the size of the jars, just to eat. It is possible to adapt other jars there, the girls attached 0.5 jars there, there is also a large bowl, but I do not use it. I am very happy with my model.

Oh, do you need more than 1 liter of yogurt at a time?
I have a yogurt maker with jars, and now I have a very inexpensive capacity on sale, well, greedy eyes are looking at her for some reason.

I had a Brand 4001 yogurt maker.
There are cups (7pcs) and a large capacity (3L). Different glass bowls were perfectly selected in it or jars of 0.5-0.7 liters were placed.

After a while, I stopped making in glasses. A large capacity is good for cottage cheese, in principle, for cottage cheese, only a large capacity is good, you will be tortured with glasses. With a large family, a large capacity is normal for yogurt / kefir / fermented baked milk. Only for sour cream I liked the glasses better.

Then I got a multicooker and do it in it.
Two liters in total, except for sour cream.

Cottage cheese, I see. Yogurt both for eating and for cooking, often instead of sour cream, and I make the sour cream itself for special cooking. Two liters of yogurt is just a couple of days and you need a new one.

Do you make cottage cheese in a yogurt maker?

Yes, from bacterial leaven.
Only then the cottage cheese must be heated in a water bath, so that the whey and the curd grain are separated. used to do this when a yogurt maker. The multicooker has a cottage cheese program, but you can set the temperature with your hands.

Yoghurt makers usually have one temperature setting. For cottage cheese, you need two, - ferment milk, here like yogurt, then heat it (1 hour at 60-70 degrees), so it is more convenient to do it in a multicooker with a temperature setting and programming for at least two stages.

The first yoghurt maker has already appeared with a temperature setting, but only with cups, without a bowl. But I think soon other manufacturers will catch up.
