Assorted shortbread cookies with dried fruits

Ingredients

Butter (room temperature) 100g
Sour cream 100g
Sugar 70g
Wheat flour 250g
Baking powder 1 tsp
Vanillin taste
Salt pinch
Fig
Prunes
Dried apricots

Cooking method

  • Mix soft butter (do not heat, it must keep its shape) with sour cream, add sugar, salt. vanillin, flour and baking powder. Quickly knead the dough, roll into a ball and refrigerate.
  • While the dough is cooling, soak the figs, prunes, dried apricots in cold water for 30 minutes until they become soft. Then pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Turn on the oven 180 degrees in advance.
  • From the dough, make blanks for cookies - balls, roll out, put figs, prunes or dried apricots in the middle, connect the edges to make a round cookie.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, when browned.

Note

I added one tablespoon of coconut to the dough, took brown sugar - the aroma turned out to be wonderful. I knead the shortbread dough in a silicone bag and put it in the cold.
She formed cookies with a round stamp for dumplings. She rolled out the dough, laid out dried fruits on one half, covered with the other half and cut out cookies with a stamp.
I have a gas oven and lately the top is not browning well, so I bake on a pizza grid. The mesh can be lightly greased with vegetable oil. I put the wire rack in the upper part of the oven.
