Ingredients

figs 300 gr
dates 175 gr
honey (replaced Golden syrup) 50 ml
ground cinnamon 1.5 tsp
ground ginger 0.5 tsp
zest with 1 orange
Orange juice 2 tbsp. l.
black pepper 0.5 tsp
ground almonds * 150 g
dark chocolate for pouring 300 gr *

Cooking method

  • These sweets are obtained with a very interesting taste, the only thing is that the basic recipe does not include nuts, but when I added all the ingredients, the mass turned out to be too liquid, so I added 150 grams of ground almonds, if almonds are not available, I suppose that you can add ground oatmeal, since they also have a neutral taste and should not obscure the taste of dried fruits and spices. But if you add flakes, add a little as the flakes take away moisture, but we still want delicate sweets.
  • 1. All our ingredients except nuts and chocolate are ground in a blender until smooth. We look at the mass (it all depends on the original ingredients), if the mass is too liquid and the balls cannot be formed, add nuts or oat flour.
  • 2. Roll up the balls.
  • 3. Tempering the chocolate. All the chocolate will not go away, just if there is less chocolate, then we will not be able to dip our sweets in it. If the chocolate is correctly tempered, the sweets will solidify at room temperature.
  • 4. Dip / pour / coat each ball with chocolate. We leave to freeze and enjoy.
