Salad with green onions is preferred by lovers of a more spicy taste, when the spice mixture is added to the maximum so that the daikon takes on the color of paprika, sometimes hot pepper and a little sugar are added. In this version, the pungency of the onion does not stand out against the background of the softer taste of daikon. If there is no desire to increase the amount of spices, then to reduce the sharp taste of the onion, pour it with cold water after cutting for a while, then drain the water and add to the salad. Or make a salad with celery, which is usually what I do. In general, if you find your version with almonds that everyone likes, then don't put onions in a salad.
