Ingredients

Cauliflower (I have frozen) Big head of cabbage (I have 400 gr)
Garlic 2-3 cloves
Bulb onions 1 piece (small)
Frying oil (I did not put in) 1 tbsp
Curry 1/2 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Ground cardamom 1/4 h l
Salt pepper Taste
Cinnamon (ground) 1/2 tsp

Cooking method

  • 1. Rinse the cabbage, dry, disassemble into inflorescences. I got it out of the freezer, so I just took it out and didn't even defrost it.
  • 2. Chop the cabbage. Can be grated. But it is faster and easier to do this with a blender or combine. Average crumb! Not in a mess !!!

  • 3. Finely chop the onion and garlic and fry in a pan until golden brown. I did it in a / p frying pan without oil.
  • 4. Add cabbage, all spices, salt, pepper to the onion, mix everything, cover and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat.
  • 5. Then open the lid, dry the cabbage, stirring, bring to taste (after trying).
  • All! Done!

Sometimes it is very difficult to feed the household with something vegetable. Especially if it is a side dish and something stewed! I often have to hide my unloved vegetables and mask them. Here is this recipe from the same series.
It turns out a very unusual taste! And as for the view ... I generally keep quiet! yellow color and spices make cabbage as similar as possible to bulgur (or couscous, or even rice). There is no characteristic cabbage smell (which so often frightens off many). Cinnamon gives a very spicy taste, it is felt, slightly noticeable. Turmeric and curry also do the trick. A very unusual dish.
The daughter (for whom this dish was prepared) did not recognize what it was !! She said that: “Something unusual. Similar to rice, but with an unusual flavor. Any unusual spices, or what? " Until I announced that it was cabbage, she would never guess! And for a long time I could not believe that such a thing was possible without her smelling it!
This is the main criterion for me that the dish turned out !!!
They ate with chicken breast nuggets.
