Freezer freezer Gemlux GL-ICM1512

Ice cream maker Gemlux GL-ICM1512
Lord 68
I ordered this one today for 2036 rubles. (there was a 30% discount in the online store, I was tempted). Before that, I looked and twirled it in my hands in the CSN. As soon as it comes, I'll try and unsubscribe.

My ice cream maker came yesterday. I washed it, put the bucket in the freezer and today tried two types of ice cream: ice cream and chocolate ice cream. The result is good. I didn’t put it perfectly just because it’s not very convenient to put it into the window, despite the fact that it is quite large compared to those models that I looked visually in stores; the second - for two charges (20 and 25 minutes) was enough end-to-end, and 3-4 charges are declared. Perhaps this is because of the refrigerator, I have it quite old and perhaps does not create the desired temperature. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase, I will even say more I expected less for such a price. So I'll play with her for now, and then I'll buy a full automatic. By the way, it works very quietly.

Yesterday I also bought this ice cream maker, while the week of Black Friday, at a nice price 1990. I liked it, nice design, simple operation, easy to clean. Today I tried 2 types of ice cream. Sundae and free fantasy of fruit, I don't know chtoli sorbet)). Both for 20 minutes. I think to fill the ice cream next time 25 minutes. I liked the result very much. The only fly in the ointment was a rather pungent smell of plastic when unpacking. After washing and airing for a day (while the bowl was freezing), the smell greatly decreased, there was a barely perceptible flair of China))) I hope it will completely disappear in the future! Well, that the piece will last long enough! The idea of making ice cream to your liking is very good and by the summer it will generally be relevant))) Good luck to all forum users! I often look here for wise tips)))
Lord 68
Kate! Congratulations on your purchase. Did you accidentally take it to online trade? There is just now a discount for 1990 rubles. By the way, when unpacking, there was no smell at all. I've already prepared a bunch of different ice creams. The latter was made from cottage cheese, homemade yogurt and kiwi, the sweetness was a couple of tablespoons of condensed cream. Very tasty, with a slight bitterness, and then pinched the tip of the tongue from the kiwi. Now in the freezer are leftovers from fruit yogurt, banana-orange ice cream. Sprinkled with ground walnuts on top. What I like about the ice cream maker is that there are no ice crystals even after repeated defrosting. In the future I plan to buy an automatic ice cream maker, possibly already for the summer.

Yes, Sasha)) exactly there, online! Thank you. Congratulations on your purchase! I think it's successful. We are not going to fill ourselves with ordinary ice cream now. After cooking, the family swoops in and there is nothing to freeze! You have already done a lot of varieties! Well done! Now is it time to try the exotic? I saw an interesting beer recipe here. And there was also such a Soviet tomato. I thought about the machine, but by a strong-willed decision I refused to purchase. Its dimensions are larger, not with our kitchen! And the trial version of the semiautomatic device suits us completely, since there is a separate freezer))) But who knows, maybe someday
Lord 68
No. It's not yet ripe for such exoticism, but I want to try ice cream with cream cheese. Not sure what you like, but trying is not torture. In case of emergency, I'll throw it out. My wife doesn't want to think about an automatic ice cream maker yet, because she took out a loan for a car this year and wants to pay it off faster. I think I'll buy it in the summer, I won't have enough patience. In winter, a semiautomatic device will do.

Katya I want to share the recipe that I embodied today: milk-banana sugar with stevia. There are many recipes on the Internet, but I usually make my own based on them.So you need half a liter of milk, 200 ml of 20% cream, two bananas, three yolks, a bag of vanillin and two and a half teaspoons of sugar with stevia (previously ground in a blender into powder). Freeze bananas, bring milk to a boil and turn off. While it cools slightly, separate three yolks into a bowl, add powdered sugar, a bag of vanillin and whisk for a couple of minutes. Then add hot milk there in a thin stream and continue to beat by hand. At this time, we put a saucepan with water to 80-85 degrees and put a saucepan with milk mixture there. Stirring constantly with a silicone spatula, cook the milk until it thickens slightly, controlling the temperature of the mixture from 75 to 80 degrees. About ten minutes. When the mixture has slightly thickened, leave it to cool, stirring occasionally. We take out the bananas from the freezer in advance and wait until they are slightly thawed, clean them and grind them in a blender into practically cream, you can add a little cooled mixture. Next, mix everything carefully. Whisk the chilled cream separately in a tall glass (it is advisable to cool it in the freezer). Surprisingly, they went up three times, before that it did not work. We also add cream to the finished mixture, stirring gently with a spatula. I had to freeze it twice, since everything did not fit at once. It turned out to be really tasty ice cream with a bright banana flavor and very tender. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks, I'll try tomorrow, I'll still make an ice cream with pumpkin. I add a lot of it everywhere. I'm going to caramelize and also through a blender.
Lord 68
Write how it works. In theory, caramelized pumpkin should be delicious. So I respect pumpkin, but usually I just bake it in the oven stuffed with apples, prunes, dried apricots and raisins. And how will you caramelize it? I have never tried it. It even became interesting.

I also bought this model. husband is an ice cream lover. Since I have no experience in this matter, a lot of questions arose.
I made 200g of condensed milk for 500ml of cream, my ice cream rested on the lid. From the top, it certainly didn't freeze. Advise how much to do. For example, if you do with berries, then there is already no place to add. It turned out tasty but all over smeared.
Lord 68
Tatyana! I congratulate you or rather your husband on a good purchase. I also have 500 ml of cream and 100 g of condensed milk (I don't like it sweet), it turned out right on the lid, though when it was already frozen. As they say correctly, when freezing, the mixture greatly adds in volume. The consistency turns out to be soft ice cream, then you need to freeze it in the freezer. You can, of course, buy a fully automatic ice cream maker, but even in them, the freezing function starts from 15,000 r and then at a discount. I looked after the Gemlux 503 model. I'm thinking of buying it in the summer.
Caitriona
Sasha, everything worked out for me, according to your recipe, I just took proportionally less by one third and did not freeze bananas, well, I didn't have stevia, just sugar. it to your liking.
I caramelized the pumpkin like this: I cut it into cubes quite small. I poured some water into the pan and dissolved the sugar. made syrup on the fire. I also splashed a little sunflower oil, it seems to me that the pumpkin takes oil well. I threw pumpkin into the syrup, boiled the syrup to a state of fluidity like condensed milk. then sprinkled with lemon juice so that it was not cloying. ground in a blender. and added it to the ice cream during cooking. it turned out very tasty. conclusion: delicious, I will do more.

Tatyana, congratulations on your purchase! good recipes! I have selected the following optimal proportions for the ice cream:
2 yolks, 100g sugar, 200-250ml of milk, 250ml of cream 33-35% (only assuming that this is half a box of 500ml, maybe it would be better to take 300, and that's enough for 2 times)) + any grated additives 50- 100 ml. it turns out that I put about 500-600 ml into the ice cream maker, compensate for milk / additives - more less. when cooking, nothing comes out, everything is frozen normally. but I do it all the same, of course, in the freezer) Try and share the recipes!
tat-63
Ekaterina, Alexander, thanks, I will try with additives, I will halve the portion
Lord 68
Thank you Katya. If you can read more about the proportions of water, oil, pumpkin. Should the pumpkin be covered with liquid or not? Should the lid be closed or let it boil down? And by the way, did the caramel pumpkin serve as a flavoring additive or a sugar substitute at the same time?

Tatyana. My last piece of milk-banana ice cream turned out to be large and I did it in two batches: the first 20 minutes, then I took out part of the ice cream and poured the rest directly into the bucket. I have played this game for 30 minutes. After the end of the regime, everything was loaded into two containers of 500 ml and into the freezer. We ate with my wife for three evenings. Surprisingly, no crystals of water were felt. Before eating, I took it out of the freezer for two hours in the refrigerator so that it was convenient to put it, the rest back into the freezer.

Today I came up with a new recipe for apple ice cream. Peeled three apples, sprinkled with cinnamon and baked them in the microwave. After they cooled down, mashed them in a blender. 250 ml of 20% cream and a teaspoon of powdered sugar whipped into a cream. I mixed everything and into an ice cream maker. I liked it very much. It would be nice to take apples with sourness, otherwise they are sweet for me. Now I thought it would be possible to add a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice to the puree.
Caitriona
Sasha, a great recipe with apples, I will try! for light sourness, you can probably sprinkle lightly with lemon juice))
about apples, I already thought of them instead of pumpkins as well. but just with cream it should be delicious too.
about caramel pumpkin: I basically do everything by sight. but I can say roughly. There was half a glass of water, a tablespoon of butter, the pumpkin was almost completely covered, only the corners were sticking out of the syrup. boiled without a lid so that the excess liquid evaporates and does not turn out to be a steamed pumpkin. it was like a flavoring. I didn't re-adjust it very much.
I'll go try the apples.
Lord 68
Thanks, Kate. When I buy a pumpkin, I'll try it right away. This year I was strained with a pumpkin, they didn't even plant them, but apples and pears !!! The whole cellar is crammed with apples, all the shelves, a box of potatoes, and even on the floor in several rows. I sort it out periodically. I throw out a part, I distribute a part and eat it hard. Try to buy sour varieties, such as a septenary, then you don't need a lemon. I also thought it would be nice to add one banana there. In theory, it should be delicious.
Lord 68
For the last week, every day I make the simplest and most harmless ice cream from yogurt fruit. In a blender, beat everything together, a little stevia syrup (sugar is possible) and pour it into an ice cream maker. Very tasty and healthy. The truth is, it's better to eat it right away. It turns out like popsicles from childhood.

I thought for a long time what kind of ice cream I needed. Options with freezing bowls immediately disappeared, because there is always not enough space in the freezer. Well, as always, I wanted a larger volume, but at a lower price. I read the forum, bought books, freezer trays and only now everything has grown together. At WB, I found a Gemlux GL-IC507 ice cream maker for 2 liters for 10,862 rubles. True, there were only 2 reviews on the site - one that everything is normal, and secondly, they sent a device with a dent on its side. I ordered it, especially not hoping for success. After all, sometimes this IM sends some things again. But yesterday, when receiving the order, I carefully examined it all and it turned out to be flawless, a complete set. And now for the second day I am already making delicious homemade ice cream. Yesterday I made it from black currant, it was done in 35 minutes, and today banana in 40 minutes. It turns out everything is very simple with her, only 3 modes, you can change the time yourself. True, the size is not small, but ice cream once it makes a full bucket. Currant got 2 trays (2 x 500g). If space permits, then take it and use it. I like very much that Gemlux has all the instruments in the same style - black with metal.

I bought an ice cream maker, I'm looking forward to when I can start making an ice cream. While studying the recipes.
