Ingredients

boiled carrots 4-5 pcs
boiled eggs 4-5 pcs
smoked mackerel 2 pcs
fresh lettuce or Chinese cabbage leaves at your discretion
mayonnaise 2-3 st. l.

  • Grate boiled carrots on a coarse grater, do the same with boiled eggs.
  • Cut lettuce or soft parts of Peking cabbage into small fractions.
  • Now we collect the salad in layers.
  • 1 layer - carrots
  • 2nd layer - fish
  • 3rd layer - eggs
  • Now we grease with mayonnaise in a very small amount, so as not to spoil all the charm, since mackerel itself is very fatty and in terms of its fat content belongs to the fish of the first category.
  • Layers can be repeated. Today I took a tall and narrow salad bowl, so I repeated the layers.
  • If you do it in a wide bowl, it will be enough to put the salad in 3 layers + sprinkle with leaves.
  • An important role in the dish is played by lettuce or Chinese cabbage leaves, with which we complete our salad, sprinkle the salad generously.

PS. We tried to make this salad from smoked sea bass, but not that coat. The amount of mayonnaise had to be increased. Mackerel is the best option.
Such a salad can also be made from canned fish, but you will have to add smoked cheese. You get a slightly different taste.
