Pearl barley porridge with mushrooms (lean) in a Panasonic multicooker

Category: Culinary recipes

Ingredients

Dry porcini mushrooms full handful
with top
Water
Finely chopped onion 1 PC.
Pearl barley 2 dimensional st.
Salt 1 tsp
Dry herbs

Cooking method

  • Finely smashed the dry porcini mushrooms, soaked them for half an hour in cold water so that the sand settled, drained them, washed them and put them on the bottom of the multicooker, where they had previously fried an onion in mustard oil in baking mode.
  • I washed 2 measuring cups of pearl barley in cold water, doused with boiling water, rinsed with cold water again, drained and put the top layer in a multicooker. I added salt, a pinch of dry herbs, a quarter teaspoon of granulated garlic.
  • Poured 5 measuring glasses of cold water.
  • I put it on a timer with a delay of 4 hours in Buckwheat mode.
  • I put it overnight, so after cooking it languished for another 3-4 hours in heating mode.
  • By the morning the porridge was ready, crumbly and fragrant

Note

Recently I had a chance to try such porridge from the special lean menu of the Pushkin cafe, which specializes in "haute Russian cuisine".

At home I tried to make a cartoon "based on".

Merri
It’s not a little skill to cook good barley porridge, if not strange! Thanks for the details!
