Meatball casserole with broccoli

Ingredients

frozen broccoli 600 g
minced meat 400 g
vegetable broth (or milk) 200 ml
yourt 4 tbsp. l.
lemon juice 2 tbsp. l
vegetable oil 2 tbsp. l.
hard cheese 80-100 g
salt pepper taste

Cooking method

  • The casserole is very loved by children, they call it "Balls". But we, adults, also have dinner with it! Everything is prepared very quickly and simply, and on the table there are beautiful golden balls of meat and vegetables.
  • Meatball casserole with broccoli Season the minced meat with salt and pepper. We sculpt meatballs from it and put them in rows or in a checkerboard pattern in a baking dish, greased with vegetable oil. Defrost broccoli and send it to the meatball mold.
  • Meatball casserole with broccoli Prepare the sauce: mix vegetable broth or milk with vegetable oil, lemon juice and yogurt.
  • Meatball casserole with broccoli First we bake under a lid or foil at 220 * C for 20 minutes.
  • Meatball casserole with broccoli After 20 minutes, remove the dish from the oven, remove the lid, sprinkle with grated cheese and send it back to the oven for another 5 minutes, until the cheese melts. Can be baked a little longer until crispy.
  • Meatball casserole with broccoli We lay out the finished casserole on the plates.

Note

Broccoli can be substituted for Brussels sprouts or cauliflower. In any case, it will be very tasty! The meatballs should be the same size (or slightly larger) with the cabbage buds.
