The forum has a recipe for tofu from Gabi
Tofu at homeTofu - bean curd
(Gabi)

The method of fermentation is slightly different. I think that the recipes will not "beat". I will not enter into controversy about the benefits or harms of tofu. All adult boys and girls, and everyone decides for himself what to eat. I recommend it to all those who love tofu!

Angela, you are like Cinderella: cheese made from beans ... no words!
SvetaI
That, it turns out, what kind of "beast" - tofu!
Actually, I don't like it, or rather, I tried it once - I didn't like it. But I look at your pictures and think - maybe I didn't like the store, but home, and even according to your recipe, it's probably a completely different matter!

Thank you all for your attention to the recipe. If someone does not understand something, then he is not forced to do it or eat. If I hate celery and something else, then I go to all "fu" to express? Although Konstantin deleted his posts, I will leave mine.

Svetik, it's tasteless. Takes the taste of what you put next. Very good for fasting, vegan and lactose intolerant. I love it both fried and in desserts.

I used to be on the market. Now I bought from the Chinese in the market.

And if you wait 4-5 hours in a blender toch or just strain it out right away?
ang-kay
Ella, watched videos different. Strained immediately.

Angela, well done for filming all the stages of making tofu, it's easy to make. I would like to add, to warn that tofu should have a neutral taste and I tried to cook it with real lemon juice and the tofu acquired a lemon flavor. When preparing different dishes with the addition of tofu, the scent of lemon will not always be appropriate. The thing with citric acid is that it is odorless.
I hope you will not be offended for what you fit into the recipe?
Alycha
Thank you

Angela, I love tofu with the most tender and strong love !!! I didn't know it was so easy to do it, you opened my eyes straight to me, sincerely kiss your golden hands!

and what is it with fillers: seaweed, or pepper and spices - the very thing that I love !!!

Ah, here's the thing! It turns out that it is not eaten like our cheese, as an independent dish. Is it like a potato in a salad - a neutral ingredient that enhances or softens other tastes?
kavmins
SvetaI, I really like tofu just to eat with bread, poured with soy sauce, it has protein, like chicken, but vegetable
SvetaI
I feel I'll have to try

Marinochka, I'll be glad if the recipe comes in handy. The main thing is to buy soybeans. And preparing is simple.

Fried, pickled. I also made pancakes with him in the post. Added vanilla, raisins, sugar. Once I treated my acquaintances, so they said that if they did not know, they would not understand that it was not cottage cheese.

Svetik, all this is not for everybody, of course. But it's not as straightforward as some people imagine.

Added links to my tofu recipes.

AngelaIt's not a problem to buy soybeans from us, there is a vegan store, there it is always there, just making it yourself is more interesting and more profitable - okara is also a wonderful thing! it is also added to meat cutlets - it's delicious ...
I once bought Italian soy milk from vegans - inexpensive, but it tastes like real cream, sweet and with vanilla .. I really liked it
ang-kay
I'll lay out the cutlets tomorrow. The recipe is ready.

You need to add something to it. Then everything is fine)

We are very tight. Previously, it was sold simply in bags by weight and in buckets. Now, no matter how much I ask, no.

very interesting, I will wait!
and I myself grew soybeans in the garden in my youth - it grows well, we also haven't sold it for decades, there was no cheese anywhere .. the plant was nearby, it was closed back in the late 90s - and that's all .. and now they carry it from the Krasnodar Territory everything is vegan to us ... I accidentally found their website and store, they accepted orders by mail, but this can be seen only in Russia ..

Angela, I'm not a Russian at all, I start reading the recipes with the last one ... I opened your lean pie with tofu and garlic arrows and immediately the thought came: "Well, why hasn't she already made and posted the tofu recipe at home?" It's good that the rest of the recipes climbed to look!

Actually, we are all very lucky that your family is fasting! There are still not so many interesting lean recipes, you have to look for them, and you spoil us, bring your best practices

I put it in mental bookmarks, there will be a time or I will grab soybeans with an opportunity, I will definitely try.Doesn't look difficult to execute ...

Thank you!

ang-kay, Angela! If I understand correctly, then Tofu is obtained from curdled soy milk, and okara has nothing to do with cooking Tofu directly?
And how else to use okaru, besides adding to cutlets? And how many cutlets?

Everything is correct.

You can make dumplings with it, add to sauces. You can even put it in meat patties.
Quote: Masha Ivanova
And how many cutlets?
You can make it out of one or mix it with something else. Now I'll go lay out the recipe.

Just last night I watched the "Tofu Legends" movie. There, the cheese is precipitated with lime (maybe a funny translation, maybe it's soda), or salt water. The salt solution, as I understand it, is concentrated. I wonder if there is acid, salt or alkali. Can soy protein react to any "irritant"? This cycle of films is shown, it seems, on UT1

My husband also watched recently. Says tofu cult in Asia. I've watched their videos. The translation of the ingredients is clear. There, in one of them, it seemed to me that fish sauce was used in general. Maybe, again, Google gives such a translation.

ang-kay, Angela! I got answers to all my questions. Thank you very much for the recipe you need! I went to read about cutlets.

Angela, what is your tofu outlet from 300g. soybeans? I did it like that according to a similar recipe, but it came out with a gulkin's nose.
And about buying soybeans - it is sold on the Internet, like mud, and we always have it on the bird, on a jar from a bag.

Tip for non-tofu lovers: cut into 1cm slices. thick, roll in corn flour and fry in a pan. Best served with chili sauce. Don't even pull tofu lovers by the ears!

filirina, Irina, and fry like deep fat? how much oil should there be?

Thanks for the idea! I'll ripen for tofu right now
filirina
Sveta can be deep-fried, of course, but I usually just fry in a pan with a minimum amount of oil!

I made it. It turned out very tasty - only I cleverly decided to warm up the cartoon on milk porridge in a cartoon, well, I washed the cartoon for an hour, and then I spent a long time figuring out why there was no electricity until I discovered that there was a place in the house where there was light (and I understood why). (True, fools do not even learn from mistakes in the middle of the day they broke the beetroot with some water in a blender and put the beetroot in the cartoon - well, it's not like soy milk, though I saw the bulka in time and turned it off - I didn't turn off the light

Who knows? I will try to communicate with Vietnamese Koreans on occasion. True, they speak so badly, and will they? Although we, unlike them, do not speak at all))))

For the first time I made myself tofu and I can say one thing: homemade is very different from the purchased one for the better. Here, the girls did not even expect how delicious it is. Purchased delicious if cooked with spices, sauces, and more. And homemade delicious in itself. Something like Adyghe cheese even. I slightly salted it with shrimp soy sauce, kneading it with a fork, so that the sauce spreads evenly and stuffed the pancakes. Even a teenage daughter, who is a terrible conservative and you can feed her with something new, appreciated and asked for more. Now I will think about how to simplify the process. I ground it in a blender in several stages, squeezed it several times, it was confusing. But if the process is improved, adjusted, then, I think, homemade tofu will be registered on my menu.
PS And okara turned out to be very tasty cutlets, made according to the technology of potato pancakes, but adding soy sauce, coriander, zru and dried vegetables from a bag of seasonings. By the way, from 250 g of soybeans I got 400 g of tofu and about 1.5 liters of okara. Cheaper than firewood, which is nice

Well, at the end of the post I saw. They brought me soybeans, but it is partially with lush rations. What to do with them? Or is it not lush rations? ... Maybe this is a soybean barrel? I'll show you now.

And I, too, just saw, and so I wanted to cook cookies (I bought them in a store where they themselves make milk, sour cream, tofu.) 200 g of tofu - 80 rubles, cookies too - 200 g. 75 RUR
Okay, now we will do it ourselves with the recipe.
Angela, thanks!

Kestrel, Anna, you can probably make pancakes, add yeast and everything else.
