Fish in Yerevan

Ingredients

Fish 1 kg
Tarhun 1 bundle
Canned tomatoes 0.5kg
Butter 50gr
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • This is how fish is prepared in Yerevan. Ideally, there should be either rainbow trout (ishkhan) or
  • whitefish. Since I did not have these delicious fish, I had to cook from what I had. And I had a red eye. Only Its advantage is that there are no small bones.
  • I cleaned and cut the fish. I put it in a deep frying pan.
  • Salted, poured chopped tarragon on top, butter and poured tomatoes.
  • Simmer for 30 minutes over low heat. It turned out delicious.
  • But if you have trout or whitefish, it will be simply delicious.

Ilmirushka
Gayane, I love fish with anything!, but we have no tarragon. What can replace it? Or can I use some other seasoning?
kirch
And we have tarragon growing in the garden, but I'm not very good at it, I can't get used to it. Gayane, an appetizing fish. You also need to put it out, otherwise I fry everything, and this is no longer very useful. And rainbow trout can be bought.
Gayane Atabekova
Ilmirushka, Ilmira tarragon can probably be replaced, for example, with cilantro, But the taste will be completely different.

kirch, Luda try to cook. You might like it. I have chacapuli tarragon and spring diet salad in my profile. The girls were cooking. They really liked it.
Gata
Gayane, can tarragon replace tarragon? We have our own tarragon growing at our dacha (though only 3 bushes survived the winter), so it looks like it looks like tarragon ...
Tusya Tasya
Anya, it's the same thing.
Gayane Atabekova
Anya is one and the same grass.
Gata
Natasha, Gayane, it seems to me that their taste is a little different, that's why I share them, but maybe it depends on the variety. I just asked Ilmira above and I thought that maybe they have such a name. In our markets, it is only sold as tarragon ...

It depends on the variety. And so tarragon and tarragon are one and the same
Gata
Ludmila, clearly, thanks, I'll know. And is tarragon also perennial?
kirch
Perennial. We have had it for many years. True, it, of course, needs to be updated, but I do not do this and do not take care of it in any way. It grows and grows. I cut it off for the winter
