We were going to buy an induction hob and the question arose which pans to take. Is it necessary with plastic handles or is it possible with metal ones? In the internet I found a rumor that on the induction hob the iron handles of the pan are not hot, but hot on ordinary burners. But why on earth, they are heated not from the burners, but from a hot pot, and in both cases it is hot and burns.
In general, who has an induction cooker, tell me how hot the iron handles of the pots are when cooking and cooking? And if possible, indicate the brand of the pan.
I'm only interested in heating the handles and knobs at the lid, I've already figured out about the dishes)

Alexei, induction is a wonderful choice!
If something hot is cooked in a saucepan, naturally the handles will heat up, and what of that? Maybe in very expensive products the handles do not heat up, like the Zepter .......

Induction sees all enamelled and stainless steel. Does not see aluminum.
Gipfel stores have induction pans. On stainless steel there is usually always a marking to see or not to see induction.

Kvashnyahandles do not heat up. You need to take stainless steel dishes with the bottom of which is magnetised. It must have a special sign - a spiral in a circle, which means that the cookware is suitable for an induction cooker. Regular stainless steel is not suitable because it does not magnetise.

Kvashnya,
Imagine heating water in a saucepan. The water boils and the hot water heats up the pan, respectively, and the handles will heat up, how could it be without it. But these are such trifles. The huge advantages are that everything heats up very quickly, the temperature is regulated instantly. The stove itself also heats up a little, but not in the same way as ordinary glass ceramics, you can wipe off anything that has dripped from the stove by lifting the pan, and then returning it to its place. When frying, for example, fish, a paper napkin is placed between the stove and the frying pan and all splashes remain on it. Then I just throw out the napkin and the stove is clean.
There are a lot of dishes for induction now. Absolutely all enamelled ones are suitable, only the bottom should be even. On the stainless steel at the bottom there should be a spiral in a circle sign, now there are many on sale from different manufacturers, I have Vitesse. Very good dishes from Rondell Coffee and Mocha series, but they are expensive.

What a range of answers!
But in fact, everything is simple. Do you have a multicooker with a bowl with handles? The handles don't heat up, do they? So it is here. There are a huge number of pots for an induction cooker with non-heating handles, they are made specially from special materials, naturally, such dishes are more expensive.
Personally, I have evo solo. The handles do NOT get warm. The same goes for pans.
Yesterday I returned from the guests where there is an ordinary stove and ordinary dishes. I got burned on the handle of my favorite frying pan from childhood !!!!! It turns out her pen is warming up! My current pans don't have that problem

It's just that it's much more convenient to use pots without pots.

Here are some who say that they do not get warm, I want to understand. And yet, such little things make up great convenience or inconvenience)

I do not quite understand, where does the malt cooker come in? After all, there is an iron bowl inside it and no handles are attached to it. And the outer handles of the multicooker body are not supplied to this bowl in any way and therefore cannot heat up.

Kvashnya,
Ordinary pots will keep the handles warm. Pots with special non-heating handles will not be heated.
On the enameled ones they heat up. Where the handles are handles such as Bakerlite or from a special composition, do not heat up.
And in multicooker also on bowls they are. I have two induction Cuckoo and both have bowls with handles. There the handles from the special composition are screwed to the bowl, and yes they do not get warm.
As already mentioned, I use enameled dishes from Vitesse. And here and there they warm themselves, but somehow I don't pay attention to it, it doesn't bother me. I rarely move the hot one, unless the pasta is drained. There is a set from Rondell with non-heating ones, I use mainly a frying pan and a ladle. The pans are heavy for me.

Kvashnya, Alexei, I have Gourmet pots, the handles do not heat up. Well, they become lukewarm))), but take the pan in hand and transfer it to the balcony, for example, potholders are not required. Something like this )))

If it does not magnet, then it will not heat. It is necessary to check on the spot, but it is better that the description indicates what is suitable for an induction cooker.
