Ingredients

Pork meat 1 kg
Potatoes 1 -!. 5 kg.
Garlic 5 teeth
Ground coriander 1 tbsp. l
Ground fenugreek-utskho suneli 0.5 tbsp
Hot red pepper taste
Salt taste
Onion 3 heads
Fresh coriander 1 bundle
Sunflower oil or lard for frying

Cooking method

  • Cut the meat into portions. Chop the garlic to a pulp state, mix with salt, pepper and spices and mix the meat well with this mixture. Marinate better overnight or at least 2-3 hours. To facilitate the process, I put the meat in a baking dish and put it in an oven preheated to 180g. For about 40 min. Peel the potatoes during this time. The amount depends on your desire. Cut the potatoes into slices or cubes. Take the largest skillet you have. Fry the potatoes in sunflower oil or lard until browned on both sides. While the potatoes are fried, the meat will be ready. Add the meat to the pan with potatoes, stir, cover and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, sprinkle everything with chopped onion and finely chopped coriander. Cover with a lid. Let it brew for 10 minutes and serve at least for a family dinner, at least for a festive one.

The dish turned out to be very fragrant, completely unlike my usual roast, the most tender meat.

Yes, I had such an idea, but I can't stand fresh cilantro. Boiled still goes somehow, especially in combination with other herbs (parsley, basil), but fresh - in no way. So anyway I will steam cilantro, and next time I will put the onion, as in the recipe!
