Melted cheese 150 g
Lubricating egg
Sesame seeds for sprinkling

Cooking method

  • It's impossibly simple, but no less delicious.

  • So, the very first is a puff yeast-free dough. I do it myself and only myself. Shop puffs in our house are banned. Having tasted homemade puff pastry once, you will fall in love with it forever.
  • I will definitely show you the recipe for its preparation. But this will be with a decrease in temperature by at least 10 degrees
  • Let's go back to our recipe. We work quickly, since the process itself is simple. We try to keep the dough as cold as possible so that our butter does not melt inside the dough.
  • Divide the dough in half. Roll out two strips. The second strip is slightly larger and thinner than the first. On the first strip, lay out pieces of melted cheese with a step of 5 cm (the puffs are 5cmx5cm).

  • Cover with a second, larger strip. Press down with the edge of the palm, forming tracks (columns and rows). Use a sharp knife to cut the puffs into 5x5 cm squares. Take a sharp knife for puff pastry so as not to crush the edges.

  • We transfer to a baking sheet, leaving a distance between the puffs. In this place, just in case of the workpiece, it is better to send the refrigerator to harden our dough for at least 15 minutes, if the room is warm (now, in my opinion, it is warm everywhere)
  • Preheat the oven to 220C. Puff pastry loves a very hot oven. Lubricate the puffs with an egg, trying not to get into the slices. Sprinkle generously with sesame seeds.
  • Bake until tender for about 15-20 minutes. If the puffs begin to fry, after 10 minutes we reduce the temperature to 180C.
  • We take it out of the oven, remove from the baking sheet and cool on the wire rack.
