Spiced capelin

Ingredients

fresh frozen capelin 400-500 gr.
Bay leaf 3 pcs.
carnation 5 pieces.
salt 1 tbsp. l.
allspice peas 3 pcs.
red, white, black peppercorns 2 pcs.
coriander 2 pcs.
water 0.5 l.

Cooking method

  • Cooking the brine. To do this, put all the spices in a saucepan, add salt, fill with water and put on fire. Bring the brine to a boil and boil for 5-7 minutes.
  • Then let the brine cool down, fill in the capelin, cleared of viscera and heads, and leave for a day.
  • In a day, the fish is ready and you can add, if desired, onions, sunflower oil, or simply eat with bread or potatoes.
  • Bon Appetit!
