Ingredients

water 250 ml
butter, cold 110 g
egg 2 pcs
dusting sugar 50 g
sugar in dough 1 tbsp. l.
cinnamon 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • In general, I somehow found a recipe for the Spanish sweet Churros, which is sold in Spain at every step, there are sweet, there is no (I saw, but did not try). And today I tried to do it. The recipe immediately contains my corrections for quantity. But in parentheses I will indicate how it was in the original and why I changed it).
  • So, everything is done very simply, the dough is like eclairs. We mix water and cold butter (I always use at least 82% fat, the rest is not butter). We put on medium heat and bring until the butter is completely melted (do not boil !!!). Immediately add flour and knead thoroughly with a silicone spatula until smooth, without lumps of flour and the formation of a golden ball of dough, which separates itself from the walls of the saucepan. Remove from the stove and let cool for a couple of minutes. Now add eggs one at a time and knead thoroughly until smooth, the longer you knead, the more the density will change (it will become thicker). According to the original recipe, there are three eggs, but it took me 2 medium ones. And there, look at the size of the testicles and the consistency of the dough.
  • When the dough is ready, add sugar and knead again.
  • We spread the dough in a pastry bag with an asterisk attachment and squeeze long strips of dough onto the parchment (I have about 7-8 cm long and 1 cm wide). The main thing is not to make them fat.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes at 200C until light golden brown. We take it out and immediately roll it in a sprinkle (just mix the cinnamon and sugar). In the original cinnamon recipe, as much as 1 tbsp. l. but in practice this is a lot.
  • Done))) We eat on the same day, store in an airtight container - otherwise they will start to stale. You can dip it in melted chocolate, but I liked it without it.
  • They are eaten in an instant, like seeds

It was based on the recipe proposed by Irina: cheese churros (in Churrosmaker Princess 132401). I put pizza and pasta spices from Santa Maria (Sweden) into the dough. Ingredients: salt, garlic, paprika, tomatoes, black pepper, onion, basil, oregano, rosemary, chili, sugar, fennel. The taste is very spicy. My niece said it was EXTREMELY TASTY. I also really like it, especially with sour cream. But they are delicious only with the heat, with the heat (like all churros and donuts).
