"Dandelions" curd ("Dzmukhatsy" creature)

Curd dandelions (Dzmukhantsy tvarozhniy)

Ingredients

cottage cheese 400 gr.
egg 2 pcs.
flour 0.5 tbsp.
sugar 3 tbsp. l.
soda 0.5 tsp
white bread 200 gr.
salt pinch
powdered sugar or sour cream taste
culinary fat (vegetable oil) for frying

Cooking method

  • Add eggs, sugar, salt, soda, flour to the grated cottage cheese (it took me more flour than according to the recipe, as the balls were spreading), mix everything thoroughly. Form balls from the resulting mass. Cut the bread into thin small cubes. I use bread according to this recipe.

  • Dip the curd balls into the bread cubes and fry in a large amount of fat (oil) until golden brown. Make the balls smaller so that they are well fried inside.
  • When serving "dandelions", sprinkle with powdered sugar or sour cream.
