  • Spring is coming, I want something vitamin. Here is my favorite salad, which I copied from the signature salad in O'Key stores.
  • So, we start with celery, we will need to marinate it: we divide one bunch of stem celery, or, as it is called in another way, stalked celery, into separate stems, cuttings, rinse, cut off the pieces we don't like. We cut, I grinded on a grater Burner.

  • We put it in a bowl and fill it with vinegar, I use apple cider diluted with water in a 1: 1 ratio, cover it with a saucer, put it under pressure, I put a liter jar of water - it's simple and convenient.

  • Now let's deal with cabbage, shred cabbage on a shredder or with a knife, whoever is comfortable, I shred it on Burner. Put in a bowl, sprinkle with coarse salt, I have 1 tsp. and grind, I do it with a crush, you need to get a very wet cabbage, that's why the result from the crush is better than from my hands.

  • We clean apples, apples need juicy, that's why I didn't use mine, I had to buy, and I always cut off the peel from purchased ones - I don't know how they are processed. We shred the peeled apples, I did it again on the burner, on the same knives as the celery, if with a knife, then we cut them into pieces of the same size as the celery. We sprinkle the crushed apples with lemon juice.

  • I never throw away the peel from my apples - it can be added to tea, and if there is a lot of it, then make a broth (pour boiling water with other dried fruits and berries, and insist).
  • I make this salad in the evening, in the evening I combine the cabbage and apples, pouring it with lemon juice and adding a spoonful of honey, and I add celery in the morning, when it has already been marinated well. But you can marinate celery for half an hour, this is approximately the time you cut the cabbage with apples and mix everything when ready. The salad is no longer seasoned with anything. But if you want, you can add the marinade in which the celery was marinated, but this is to your taste. In general, I do not pour this marinade, and then I use it either in mayonnaise, or in the sour dressing of other salads.

This salad, I first tried in O'Key, and I liked it so much that I tried to make it myself. I read the label: cabbage w / c, celery, apples, salt, sugar. I bought everything, but the label does not indicate that it is stalk celery and I bought the root. I rubbed the root on a grater, cut the rest, connected it - not that! The next time I went, started torturing the sellers, they say: - "we only sell, they make others, we don't know the recipe" .. but clarified that celery is not a root - it is a stem root. Made with celery stalks - still something is wrong .. I went back to the store, begged to call those who cut salads. They said that they were taking canned stalk celery, but I didn’t look for it on sale, I never found it, I don’t know they deceived me or I was just not lucky to find one. And I decided to marinate the celery myself, using my favorite apple cider vinegar and replacing the sugar with my honey, and here I did it, and what happened I liked more than in the store.By the way, now on the label they write not just celery, but canned ...
