Red fish salad under a fluffy blanket

Ingredients

Red fish sl / s 200 g
Boiled eggs 3-4 pcs.
Tomatoes 2-3 pcs.
Hard cheese 130-150 g
A mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream 1:1
Lettuce leaves

Cooking method

  • I would like to offer you a salad, which has always been present on our festive table for 5 years already. Both its composition and its preparation are very simple.
  • COOKING.
  • Preparation of components.
  • I wash and dry lettuce leaves thoroughly. (I like to use the Dubovik variety because its leaves do not fade for a long time.)
  • I cut the red sl / s fish (salmon, chum, salmon or pink salmon) into thin slices or cubes. (I focus on the taste of the fish. Usually we salt it ourselves. If it has a delicate taste, a little salty, then I cut it into slices, if it is a more salty version, then into cubes.)
  • I clean the boiled eggs, separate the yolks from the proteins. I rub the yolks on a fine grater, and the whites on a coarse grater.
  • Tomatoes (I try to use fleshy) mine, cut, remove the seeds (they are not needed), and cut the pulp into cubes.
  • Cheese (I try to use it with a neutral taste: "Russian", "Poshekhonsky") I rub on a coarse grater.
  • I mix mayonnaise and sour cream in equal proportions. I try to take sour cream thinner (10% or 15%). Thanks to this, the sauce is not thick, low-calorie, soaks the layers well.
  • Assembling the salad.
  • I put lettuce leaves on the dish.
  • Then I lay it in layers:
  • - red fish;
  • - yolks.

  • Lightly grease with a mixture of mayonnaise and sour cream.
  • Then there are the layers:
  • -tomatoes,
  • -cheese.

  • I grease each layer with sauce.
  • Sprinkle the top of the salad with proteins. You can grease them with mayonnaise, or you don't have to.
  • I put the salad in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Then I decorate, as my imagination prompts, and serve.

The salad turns out to be very, very tender. I tried many different options for appetizers, which include red fish, but this combination was delicious for me. Now I serve red fish only in this way. We love the salad so much that we don't even discuss whether it will be on the festive table. :) The salad was never left half-eaten, because often guests put themselves a second portion.

The number of products is very conditional - I have been doing everything by eye for a long time. Do not be afraid to add a little more, reduce something.

(Occasionally, for myself and my son, I make a small portion, not even laying out the components in layers, but simply mixing them. It is also delicious, although it “sounds” a little different.)

I read the recipe once in a culinary magazine. I am very grateful to the author for discovering a new taste.
