Millet meatballs with pumpkin and raisins in milk-vanilla sauce

Ingredients

millet 1 ms
pumpkin 160 g
raisins (candied fruits can be used) 1/4 st
eggs 1 PC
water 2 ms
salt
sugar
sauce
milk 1 liter
sugar 1/2 st
vanilla sugar 1 sachet
butter 2 tbsp. l
flour 2 tbsp. l

Cooking method

  • Rinse the millet, add water and cook the porridge. I cooked in a slow cooker.
  • Grate pumpkin on a coarse grater and fry in butter until soft.
  • For the sauce, heat the flour in butter, pour in milk, add both types of sugar and cook until thickened.
  • Add the egg, pumpkin and raisins to the cooled millet porridge.
  • Form balls from the resulting mass, roll in breadcrumbs and put in a greased form.
  • Pour the sauce and bake in an oven preheated to 180 g (with convection) for 40 minutes until golden brown.

Here, according to the recipe, porridge is cooked in water, and I boiled the porridge in water, it was not at all viscous, and in the morning it was dry. I mixed an egg, not fried pumpkin, kneaded well, and balls form perfectly. I should have filmed the process
I didn't notice how much sauce I cooked. At first it seemed to me that it was too thin, I added 1 tbsp of flour. l In fact, it was possible not to do this. As I understand it, the sauce should be like liquid jelly. If after pouring the meatballs, the sauce remains, it will not be superfluous, it can be additionally served with the dish.
