salt 5g
black pepper 5g
potato starch 2st. l
vegetable oil 2 glasses
sugar 1 st. l
ketchup 2st. l
garlic 1 st. l
corn syrup 2st. l
dry white wine 1 st. l
pepper paste 2st. l
olive oil 1 st. l
nuts 1 st. l

Cooking method

  • This is South Korea's favorite hot snack. If you were invited to chimek, you were invited to drink beer (Mekchu) with deep-fried chicken (Chikin). The chicken is served with spicy sauce or simply fried in batter.
  • Take chicken legs or any parts of chicken, salt and pepper, leave for 15 minutes, salted. Then dip the chicken in the potato starch.
  • Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan so that it covers the chicken. Heat up. Place the chicken in hot oil. I will fry the chicken by dipping it in hot oil twice. Do not turn the chicken over for the first five minutes to avoid damaging the crust. Then turn over and sauté over medium heat for another 5 minutes. Then put on a sieve or paper napkin and let cool slightly for 3 minutes. Put it back in a saucepan with oil and fry until golden brown for another 15 minutes. Using this method, your chicken will be fried and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Put the finished chicken on a paper napkin.
  • The next step is making the sauce. Make a sauce using sugar, ketchup, garlic, corn syrup, wine or Korean vodka soju, pepper paste, olive oil, chopped nuts. Mix everything thoroughly. Put 3 tablespoons in a preheated pan. l of water so that the sauce does not burn and cover with the sauce. Bring to a boil. Dip the chicken in the sauce and our dish is ready.
  • Serve with green salad and beer. Bon Appetit!
