Whole Grain Yeast-Free Cakes

Category: Special bread
Whole grain yeast-free tortillas

Ingredients

Water 250 g
Linseed
Flax seeds (I have white) 1 st. l.
Water 3st. l.
Whole grain wheat flour 400 g
Salt 1h l.

Cooking method

  • Prepare flaxseed "egg": 1st tbsp. l. grind flax seeds in a coffee grinder, pour 3 tbsp. l. water, stir, close the lid and leave in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. I leave it overnight.
  • Beat the water with the flaxseed egg and salt. Add flour, stir. Teto is sticky.
  • Form a ball out of the dough, place in a container, close and leave for 30 minutes. During this time, the dough will practically stop sticking to your hands.
  • Divide the dough into 10 pieces of 68 g each. I think less if you like thinner cakes. I was afraid that they would tear when pressing the chapatnitsa. No additional flour is required during molding.
  • Bake in chapatnitsa. The principle is still the same. Flatten the lump of dough with your hands, press the chapatnica two or three times, fry until bubbles appear, turn over, wait for inflation, press the lid a little.
  • Here are the bubbles, so it's time to turn over:
  • Whole grain yeast-free tortillas
  • This is how it jumps out of the chapatnitsa:
  • Whole grain yeast-free tortillas
  • And finally inflates:

  • A quick and tasty version of healthy bread. You can also bake in a dry frying pan without chapatnits. They are great!)

Katko
: girl_claping: cakes made from central wheat flour, and even super-useful with flax - bookmarks and for execution by all means
Thank you
Omela
Katerina, Thank you! : rose: I liked it. I added some salt there, I forgot.
Katko
Omela, I finally didn’t even notice
But for example, if I have flaxseed flour, can I make a flaxseed egg from it?
Omela
No, well, I noticed something !!
Tanyulya
Ksenia, thanks, I'll try.
Elena_Kamch
Omela, thanks for the recipe! Do they also inflate in a simple frying pan?
And then deflate?
lu_estrada
Oyyy, I really liked your wonderful cakes, Omelchik!
TATbRHA
How interesting! And if you take an egg not from linseed, but from an ordinary chicken, will this effect also be? .. There are just a lot of eggs in the house ...

The recipe is exactly what I was looking for. I make cakes from a mixture of whole grain and wheat flour of the 1st grade, I tried to increase the percentage of whole grain, I did not like the result. Perhaps I added a little water, or maybe just such an "egg" was not enough.
Thank you very much for the recipe.

Tanyulya, Elena_Kamch, lu_estrada, TATbRHA, NatalyMurthank you girls!

Elena, puff up yes. Sometimes I do not press the lid, they inflate themselves. And some have to help a little.)

Tatyana, I had a recipe written off from the Internet once. There was an egg and milk in the composition, but I needed a lean version, so I replaced it.)

I didn't like the result.
Natalia, then everything is individual. Try it. may like this option.
TATbRHA
Yeah, you can have an ordinary egg, great! Omela, Thank you!

Ksyushenka, thank you so much for this recipe too! Since I had only dark flax seeds, I made cakes with them, which is why the color turned out to be so dark. Delicious both individually and with additives. With your chickpeas, it's just awful! I fried it in a dry frying pan, because I don't have a chapatnica, and for the first time I heard about it from you, I will go to educate myself on this topic. Thanks again!

galchonok, Galya, I'm glad I liked it !! And the chapatnitsa, yes. the right thing. I’m now kind of losing weight, so I’m only doing such crap for myself.
Venera007
The cakes are just awful !!! Delicious insanely, the current for some reason is not inflated. .. But it's not a problem. Hell three times already))
Omela
Tatyana, glad you liked. Do you bake in the chapatnitsa?
Venera007
Omela, no, I don't have such a device ... I would use a place in the kitchen .... Baking in a dry frying pan. We with a small for two knew 7 out of 10 pieces while my husband was at work :)
Omela
Tan then rolled it not thin enough. The flour here is rough, so the dough is heavy. The main thing is that it is delicious. I also really liked it.)
Venera007
No, Oksan, she rolled it out thinly ... In places it even turned out crispy bread, thin-thin. And the crunchy ones are the ones that browned a little more .. Mmm ... It's so delicious. For some reason I always do the current when the whole grain flour ends .. Eh, it's time to send my husband to Auchan.
Omela
Yes? Then I don’t know, I was swollen. It can be seen that the balls are not quite straight, but still not flat. I repeat that the main thing is that we liked it.)
