Ingredients

Potato 2 kg.
Carrot 1 PC.
Garlic 1 head.
Bulb onions 2-3 pcs.
Vegetable oil 200 ml.
Salted red pepper paste 1 tbsp. l
Rosemary 2 vet.
Salt, pepper to taste

  • If there are no potatoes in the house, then there is nothing to eat! Our mothers thought so. Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you a wonderful recipe for boiled potatoes. This recipe was born in the distant 80 years in my hiking trips in the mountainous Crimea. It has survived to this day and has been multiplied by additional ingredients. The recipe is very simple, the potatoes are very tasty. Dishes can be used as a side dish or can be eaten independently.
  • Peel the potatoes, wash and cut into 4 pieces. Put all the prepared potatoes in a saucepan, pour water over it so that it slightly covers the potatoes. We put it to cook. After boiling, add to the potatoes peeled and chopped carrots, a peeled head of garlic and a sprig of rosemary (if there is no rosemary, you can add 2 pieces of bay leaf.) Salt a little (remember that we have salted pasta). Cook until cooked for 30-40 minutes. While the potatoes are boiling, we need to cook the frying. We put a frying pan on the fire, pour in a measured amount of vegetable oil, heat it and add chopped onions. Fry the onions until golden brown over medium heat. When the onion turns golden, add red pepper paste to it (you can see the recipe for the paste HERE) fry everything, remove from heat. (if there is no pasta, you can simply fry the onion) When the potatoes are ready, take out a sprig of rosemary and carefully drain the liquid from the pan. When the water is drained, add all our frying, close the lid and shake well, add salt to taste and pepper. You can add a little butter if desired. Our whole dish is ready. You can serve. This potato with pickled vegetables is very tasty. I serve with peppers (recipe HERE)

I really love potatoes from my childhood, and now my grandchildren are asking me to cook them.
I boil the potatoes without salt, add fresh dill to the pan 5 minutes before being cooked. I drain the water, remove the dill. I squeeze garlic on the potatoes and fried onions on top in vegetable oil with salt. We close the pan, shake it and enjoy the aroma and taste.
