Buckwheat porridge with chicken in a milk cooker

Ingredients

Chicken breast 250 g
Buckwheat 300 g
Water 800 ml
Small onion 1 PC.
Small carrots 1 PC.
Salt 1 tsp
Rust oil or creamy. 50 g

Cooking method

  • Designed for a 2L milk cooker.
  • Pour water into the jacket of the milk cooker and you can put it on the stove (we will save time - while we cook everything, the water will warm up there). Chop the onion, cut the carrots in half rings or three on a coarse grater. Fry the onion in a skillet with butter for two minutes, add the carrots and fry for another couple of minutes, transfer to the milk cooker. Cut the meat small, 3x3 cm., Put it on the freed pan and fry for several minutes over medium heat until a crust appears, then keep it on low heat under the lid for about 10 minutes. During this time we sort out the cereals, remove all the garbage. We shift the meat into a milk cooker (here you can add a little curry powder) and pour the cereal on top. Do not mix! Carefully fill in all the water (preferably hot), salt and put on the stove. As the water in the shirt boils, turn on the timer for 30 minutes. and go about our business
  • At the end of the porridge, gently stir, you can add butter and serve immediately. Or you can leave it in a milk cooker under a towel for another 10 minutes.

The dish is designed for

4 servings

Time for preparing:

50 minutes

Note

Buckwheat turns out to be crumbly, but not dry, the meat is soft, does not fall apart.
Since buckwheat has its own strong and pleasant aroma, no additional special seasonings are required. But I usually add a little curry, no more than 1/4 hour. l., its aroma goes well with chicken and buckwheat.
Instead of breast, you can take chicken thighs by removing the bones.

Joy
I have never cooked something with meat in a milk cooker, I will have to try And the combination of products is already delicious
