Squid cabbage rolls in creamy garlic sauce

Ingredients

Frozen squid 700 g
Parboiled rice 250 g
Bulb onions 3 heads
Garlic 4 teeth
White cabbage 1 bike
Dill 1 bundle
Cream 10% 250 ml
Sour cream 200 g
Salt pepper taste
Butter for frying 50 g

Cooking method

  • I want to warn you right away: the amount of products for the filling turns out to be more than 1 swing of cabbage. That is, you have a choice: EITHER take 2 cabbage rolls and twist the cabbage rolls one for now, and the second for "later" into the freezer (which, I think, is sooo convenient! I got it out, defrosted it and put it in the oven!), OR use the filling in as a side dish to any other dish! Which is good too!)
  • So!
  • We set the rice to cook and calmly prepare the squid. If you have peeled squids, then you are a little more fortunate than me!) I had to rinse them first, peel them of the film and remove the chords.
  • We put a saucepan of water on the stove (sized for 1 squid) and wait. As soon as the water boils, we throw in the carcass of the 1st squid for 30 seconds. We take it out with a slotted spoon on a plate. We do this with all the squid carcasses. It is better to throw one at a time, so there is less chance of digesting some, and undercooking others. If you increase the cooking time (even by 1 minute), then the stout squid are tough and for the reverse softness they will have to be cooked for 30 minutes! Consider this please!

  • The rice is already cooked. Add fried onions, chopped squid with dill to it. Salt and pepper to taste. We mix. The filling is ready!

  • And then everything is as for ordinary cabbage rolls.
  • Let's take care of cabbage. She is young now and very juicy and tasty!
  • We dress the leaves and put them in boiling water for a couple of minutes. We put it back on drushlag. We take each leaf and beat off thick or hard places with a hammer.
  • Put the filling on the base of the sheet with a heaped spoon, wrap it up and put it in a non-stick form.

  • Sauce. We mix sour cream and cream, squeeze young garlic, salt, pepper into them.
  • Fill our cabbage rolls with sauce and put in the oven, baking until golden brown!

The dish is designed for

12 pcs

Time for preparing:

1 hour

Cooking program:

Note

Instead of white cabbage, you can use savoy cabbage.
And for cheese lovers, I suggest sprinkling the dish with grated cheese halfway through and baking the brown crust!
If you, like me, have an extra filling, then you can do as it was written at the very beginning, or you can add a chopped boiled egg (a couple of pieces), canned tuna in your own juice and mayonnaise and you will have an excellent salad. And lunch (or dinner) will be in the same Marine style!

Interesting and, of course, delicious !! But why boil squid, as well as rice, if then put in the oven for 30-40 minutes? For such a long time, raw food will cook in the oven. Or maybe I didn't understand something ...

It's not for nothing that they say that one head is good, and 2 is better
You need to bake it BEFORE CRUSHED, but in my oven I have to wait a long time for this, because everyone will probably adapt it to their own technique. When grilling, there will be beauty in general
