Cooking method

  • I bring to your attention a tasty and easy-to-prepare dish!
  • I got this recipe from my old friend Shurochka, or to be more precise, from her Armenian grandmother.
  • So let's get started ...
  • 1. Cut the eggplants into 1 cm thick slices, sprinkle with salt and leave for 20-30 minutes.
  • Then rinse the salt with running water, squeeze the eggplants and fry in vegetable oil on both sides.
  • Put the fried eggplants in a saucepan in layers, salt and pepper the layers to taste.
  • This time I had the remnants of frozen eggplants, and I was too lazy to fry them)).
  • I just took them out of the freezer and, adding a good handful of salt, poured boiling water over them for 10-15 minutes.

  • 2. Wash the tomatoes, cut into slices 1 cm thick.
  • 3. Cut the onion into small cubes, fry in oil, then add either the boiled meat turned through a meat grinder, or raw minced meat, fry all together, add salt and pepper to taste.
  • The original comes with boiled meat, but sometimes I replace it with minced meat.
  • 4. Lay the meat with onions on top of the eggplant.

  • 6. Pour boiling water over so that the water covers the meat and a little tomatoes.

  • 7. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, add sugar and herbs. Simmer for 20 minutes.

Every year I try to freeze eggplant and tomato especially for this recipe.
