Caramel sauce with sour cream

Ingredients

white sugar 250 grams
hot water 3-4 tbsp. spoons
vanilla taste
sour cream of any fat content 150 grams

Cooking method

  • Pour sugar into a thick-walled dish in one layer. Heat up.
  • When sugar is melted, heat it with constant stirring until caramel color.
  • Make sure that the sugar does not burn.
  • Remove from heat and add very hot water.
  • CAREFULLY!!! It will sizzle and steam strongly. You can burn your hands.
  • Stir the sugar burnt until the lumps are completely dissolved.
  • Add sour cream, stir, put on fire.
  • Bring to a boil with constant stirring.
  • Refrigerate. Transfer to another dish, cover with a lid.
  • Keep refrigerated.
  • Serve with casseroles, cheesecakes or ice cream.

Well, here I finally came with the sauce to report. I admit, I've been making it for a long time - always when I need a caramel sauce for ice cream or crumble. Sour cream probably makes it incredibly tasty. (I still put 1/2 tsp of salt there at the end)
