1. Poppy (5 tablespoons), rinse in cold water until the sand disappears, then pour into boiling water. After the poppy seed water boils, pour it onto a fine sieve or cheesecloth to drain the water. Dried poppy seeds need to be crushed in a mortar or minced with a fine wire rack, then add sugar (4 tablespoons) and one raw egg and mix everything well.

2.Poppy (6 tbsp. Spoons), rinse in cold water until the sand disappears, discard on cheesecloth and put in a saucepan. Add honey (3 tablespoons) and cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then cool the filling.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT POPPY SEEDS WHEN BUYING? 1. Choose an opaque package, because in the light - it will become bitter; 2. Check how tight the package is, that is, when opening it, there should be no traces of moisture. 3. Seeds must be intact without visible damage or lumps. 4. Fresh poppy seeds should have a sweetish smell and a light nutty flavor - if you buy from the market ask for a taste of the poppy. How to store poppy seeds correctly so that they don't turn bitter? Fats in poppy seeds can turn rancid, so store poppy seeds in a dark place in an opaque glass and sealed container. It should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area with normal air humidity. If you plan to store poppy seeds for more than 2 months, you can refrigerate it. If the shelf life is long, place the poppy in the freezer.
