Ingredients

Dry yeast 1 tsp
Flour 250 g
Egg 1 PC.
Sour milk (kefir) 80-100 ml
Honey 50 g
Butter 40 g
Salt 0.25 tsp
Vanilla sugar 1 tsp
Citrus peel or various "sprinkles" optional
Egg for assembling the roll 1 PC.
Sugar for sprinkling 3.5-7 tsp

Cooking method

  • Mixed in the bread maker, everything is as usual, the "Dough" mode. After it is finished, divide the soft dough into 7 koloboks, roll each into a flat cake and leave to rise for 20 minutes. Stir the egg prepared for assembling the roll with a fork until smooth. Dip each cake into an egg on both sides and put in a mold, so that one half overlaps the other, in a circle. (On the site where I found this styling method, it is called "seven-flower"). Sprinkle each cake with sugar - 0.5 tsp, but you can use a whole teaspoon if you want sweeter (the loaf is not too sweet). Here you can also sprinkle with zest or other flavoring, and also add chopped nuts, chopped dried fruits, grated chocolate, coconut chips, etc. Set to fit.
  • Bake in the oven for 5 minutes on high heat, then another 20 minutes on low heat.
