Whole spelled for garnish (Steba DD1 and DD2)

Ingredients

whole spelled 3 mstk
dry mushrooms 20g
onion 2 pcs
carrots (pumpkin) 300g
oil 20g
water 3 mstk
salt, seasonings

Cooking method

  • Sort out the whole spelled, rinse well and pour water with 100 g of sour milk or 2 tsp. any fermented milk product for 8-10 hours. I added 2 tsp. sour cream. This will improve the taste and significantly increase the bioavailability of all nutrients from spelled. Simultaneously soak dry mushrooms in 1 mstq of water.

  • Chop the onion, grate the carrots (I have a pumpkin) and fry them on the "Roasting" program. Drain the spelled water and rinse well. Add the spelled and mushrooms along with the water in which they were soaked to the onions and carrots in the bowl. Pour in another 2 mstq of water, salt. If you do it without mushrooms, then for 3 mstk spelled you just need to add 3 mstk of water. I also added some dry mixture of soup greens:
  • Whole spelled for garnish (Steba DD1 and DD2)
  • Mode "Porridge" 0.7 30 minutes and leave in the heat without opening for another 45-60 minutes. A very tasty and healthy side dish is ready.

Linadoc, and what is this cereal? Pearl barley?

Give me boiled spelled! (FROM)

Thank you, I'll try, I just bought a bag of spelled))
Anatolyevna
Linadoc, Lina, we don't have such cereals. : pardon: Buy, I'll try.
Irina.
Linadoc, an interesting recipe. And what a delicious photo, simple feast for the eyes. But I have not seen spelled in the stores. But we often remember about her in the family.
We have a history connected with spelled that was 20 years ago. When my son was little, he ate very badly, that's just sooo bad. We walked in the zoo, and there was (then it burned down, someone set fire to) a house in the Russian old style, like a hut-museum. And on that day, they were selling spelled pies, we had never heard of such cereals, we were young. And so the son asked to buy him this pie. And he ate it with pleasure, so then he ran a few more times, bought and ate these pies. We were really surprised that he liked these pies. But then they looked for this spelled, but did not find it on sale.

Linadoc, what is this cereal? Pearl barley?
Spelled - wild wheat, the ancestor of our modern wheat, contains all the amino acids, vitamins and minerals necessary for the human body. Virtually gluten free. Can replace meat in the diet.

I just got a bag of spelled))
Svetlana, it is important to note that this recipe is for whole spelled, and for crushed cereals, the ratio with water is 1: 2-3, cook for 10 minutes at pressure and porridge from it is excellent.

Lina, we don't have such cereals.
Tonya, I also took it not in the store, but in the market. But I found it on an Internet.

The child immediately felt the benefit of spelled. A lot has been written about her in the internet and now she is being revived again. Maybe you can find it. It is necessary to throw a request in the internet.

I remember from childhood, my grandmother cooked milk soup from wheat. Probably it was this and it was delicious ...

cooked milk soup from wheat.
This can be a delicious milk soup made of spelled and simple, but super-complete for a child.
Irina.
Linadoc, thanks, you need to look in the internet, since such a useful cereal.
NataliARH
Linadoc, we sell steamed spelled, somehow I have NO way, as soon as the usual one appears, I'll buy it right away! thanks for the useful recipe!

Whole spelled for garnish (Steba DD1 and DD2)

there is one in your house, but a little expensive.
Lina, you need to try to cook this way. I made soup with her - delicious. And I also tried to bake bread from spelled flour. The taste is interesting.

Girls who are in Moscow. Crushed spelled can be bought at Izbenka-Vkusvill store. And also joke in large magamalls, in the corridors between shops there are collapses, there are hats, manicure-pedicure-make-up braids, T-shirts, etc. and so there may be collapse with eco-products, they also sell spelled, only like Lina's whole ... To whom on the road, there is definitely such a collapse on Khodynka in the AVIAPARK (1st floor, if you stand with your back to the aquarium, you have to go on the right side towards Auchan), I bought there. There is also fermented willow tea, who has already run out of stock.
mamusi
Linadoc, good evening, can you help me again? Regarding just sweet wheat porridge on water or milk, it is not important which mode to choose in order to get a slightly viscous or kutia-type porridge? ) :-)
Antonovka
mamusi,
In, I have the same Armenian wheat - now I would like to understand how to cook it deliciously
Linadoc
Quote: mamusi
and wheat Dzavar, Armenian, which we could find :-) :-) :-)
Margot, they are essentially the same thing. If you need a viscous one, then we wash the dzavar soaked in advance (required for assimilation!), Fill it with water (or tomato or any vegetable juice) in a ratio of 1: 1.2 (slightly more liquid) and on "Porridge" 0.7 15 minutes, open after unlocking (preferably after 30-60 minutes). All . Add garlic, herbs, oil and spices after unblocking. The same in the sweet version, just add water or a mixture of water with milk and sugar.

AntonovkaNow, look where my two experiments led last night and this morning. So, in the evening, I was in a terrible hurry, and without waiting for answers, I set it to cook for the night ... on the "porridge" mode 0.7 and for 30 minutes, BUT poured 6 mstk. water for 1 mstq of whole cereal. The groats were soaked in advance for about 6-7 hours). And she went to bed. The porridge went into heating and stood until morning. In the morning I opened it ... Ah ... the cereals are separate ... the water is separate (slimy water - I must say - I try it boiled - but this is SOUP, not porridge ...)))
mamusi
Antonovka, I continue my thought ... of course, we ate everything after I took a spoonful of water ... uh, poured the dog into its porridge and put the rest on the "porridge mode" for a couple of minutes. Tasty ... but very boiled ... Then I received a message from Lina and did as she writes .... in the morning (for lunch))))). The result is separate and well-boiled grains ... like in a booze about (which I actually wanted at first)))) I put it on the plates - everyone has their own needs for sugar ... and I ate with butter, but my husband didn't ! Liked ... So - washed, soaked cereal - 1 mstk plus 1.2 mstk boiling water, salt-sugar to your taste. I put 1 tsp of grows. oils. Set 30 m. "Porridge") 0.7 bar. ALL!!!
Antonovka
Linadoc, mamusi,
Thank you girls, this weekend I'll try to do
mamusi
Linadoc, Lina, thank you so much! I made a mess on the second call ... after your message - and urrah! Exactly what I wanted (I already wrote the whole story to the girls ...)))) The porridge turned out to be excellent - that's what I wanted. The grains are all separately ... Cooked well, crumbly, like in a booze, about! But, I put on "Porridge" for 30 minutes, 0.7. She was a little reinsured. The groats are different ... she is so strong ... just 30 minutes is perfect for her! Thanks again for your support!
mamusi
Antonovka, Yes, yes, cook, you won't regret it! And I read that it is VERY helpful! Proteins, slow carbohydrates and in general - a storehouse of vitamins !!!
Linadoc
Margot, great! Thanks for the report.
mamusi
LinadocWe tasted the sweet one ... now it's your turn for your side dish with vegetables! I love vegetables too! I will try. And this is a huge thank you for the wonderful recipes.
M @ rtochka
After soaking in glasses, measure the already swollen one (to add water)? Or count how many glasses of initially dry cereal were supposed to be?
Linadoc
Count the original glasses of dry cereal.
Lisichkalal
Can you please tell me why you need to soak the spelled?
I bought a whole recipe on the package: boil the spelled in double the amount of water over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
I did so for testing, the grains partially became more transparent, but in some places they broke, and in some places they remained opaque and in these places they are a little hard.
Linadoc
Svetlana, it is necessary to soak the spelled so that the phytic acid of the shell goes into a bioavailable form and brings maximum benefit to the body.
Lisichkalal
Linadoc, Thank you ! I will know now!
Thanks for the recipe, if not for him, not the fact that I would have dared to cook this dish in a pressure cooker.
Well, I soaked for 30 minutes in total, in a pressure cooker I fried onions with porcini mushrooms, spices and in ghee.
Then I added 2 multi-glasses of spelled and 2 glasses of mushroom and beef broth.
10 min in a pressure cooker, pressure 0.7
I released the pressure, added my stew and 1 more multi-glass of water.
5 min, pressure 0.7
Opened, tasted, delicious.
Stands on heating, let's see what the husband says.
In 30 minutes, I'm afraid I would have boiled everything into a mess
M @ rtochka
I'll insert my observations. Maybe it's just me, but the spelled never boiled over. Always strong. But I cook without pressure, just in mv, in usual)
Linadoc
Quote: M @ rtochka
the spelled was never boiled
Here and me too. But spelled is different. Mine is whole in a shell, and sometimes it is peeled and crushed. Accordingly, the cooking time is different. I even sow mine, it grows and ears on my plot, I feed my chicks with it and germinate it for food.
Lisichkalal
So you can safely set it for 30 minutes)
My husband liked it) I introduce into the diet!
Thank you !

Linadoc, and where in Moscow can you buy it? Dad is interested, but he is from the suburbs.
How to germinate? And then how to eat?
Linadoc
I take in pavilion 11 of the Danilovsky market. There was a temka on the forum to germinate. I add to fermented milk products.
