Cooking method

  • This is a German retro recipe.
  • “The Hawaiian toast recipe was invented by Clemens Wilmenrod in 1955 and became a Cult in the 60s!
  • Clemens was not a cook, but an actor - unsuccessful and not in demand. But he was the first to come up with the idea for a television cooking show. The TV channels became interested and from 1953 to 1964 Wilmenrod appeared once a week on the screen with new culinary ideas in the program “Wilmenrod invites you to the table”.
  • The audience was delighted with his "modern cooking" using then new, canned food, semi-finished products and ready-made products for long storage. But this was not the only thing that attracted people to the screens. Wilmenrod was a really good actor, inventing new phrases and telling funny stories from his life. (What is still called a "cooking show" is more about telling than cooking). And also used in traditional German dishes - new, exotic products, vegetables and fruits.
  • For the ossified post-war German society, prone to unshakable foundations in morality and food, it was like a breath of fresh wind on a sailing ship, taking away into unknown countries and interesting adventures. "
  • So, we do:
  • German hawaiian toastTake a slice of toast bread and fry it. I don't like toast bread, so I took gray
German hawaiian toastLet's put a piece of ham on the bread

  • Put the canned pineapple wheel on the ham and cover with a slice of cheese. To be honest, I could not buy pineapples with a wheel, I bought them in pieces. The pieces are all multi-gauge, so I could not lay out a very beautiful round timber.
  • And in the oven or microwave until the cheese melts. We decorate with a cherry.
  • Bon appetit, everyone.

And I think it's very tasty, because we bake meat with pineapple under cheese, it's still yummy, and here is a simplified quick option, I take note
