Cooking method

  • I must say right away that this recipe is more likely one of the options for completing the filling than a fundamentally new dish. The task was to dispose of the plums in the refrigerator and the remnants of the curd poppy filling that turned out to be superfluous from another cake. This molding method is also available on our forum.
  • So, the recipe itself.
  • Beat the egg, grind the yeast with sugar, bring the butter until soft. Mix all ingredients for the dough, knead and leave to rise for 1 hour or until the volume increases 2-3 times.
  • Prepare the filling: Free the plums from the seeds. Grind cottage cheese with yolk, steam poppy with boiling water for 5-10 minutes, drain. Mix curd mass with poppy seeds.
  • Next, knead the dough, shape into a ball and let it lie under a towel for 15-20 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough into a circle, lay out the halves of the plums, retreating from the edge.

  • Cut the edges of the pie into pieces trying to get between the plums, turn each of the pieces with a cut up. It is better to pinch the opposite cut (which is at the bottom) so that the plum juice does not flow out onto the baking sheet.
