Ingredients

Wheat flour 3 cups
Water 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Olive oil 1 tbsp. l.
Dry yeast 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Put the products in the form and turn on the HP on the "Dough" mode.
  • After kneading, place the dough on a floured surface and divide into balls the size of a walnut. Roll each ball into a thin round layer with a rolling pin rolled in flour. It is necessary to combine rolling with careful hand stretching of the dough. The thinner the layer is, the better, because when baking, the dough increases greatly in volume.
  • Heat a large, heavy skillet over high heat. (Ideally, cast iron.) When the pan gets very hot, put a layer of dough on it and fry for literally 1-2 minutes on each side, gently turning it over.
  • Remove the finished cakes from the pan and cover with a towel.

This recipe reminded me of delicious unleavened cakes made from wholemeal flour from the website of the Indian spice store (Chapati).
