Note

I always eat this cake in Germany and I was very interested in why it is so tender, tasty and how the poppy is kept there.
This year I did find the recipe on a German website. Turns out they make this vanilla pudding cake.
I had one at home and I decided to try it. It turned out very tasty.
The next time I wanted to find dry vanilla pudding in the store, but it turned out to be very difficult to do, and then I took the ready-made Miracle pudding. It turned out very well too.

As for the poppy filling, I always take Parfait bags, you need to pour them a little water and let it brew, only then mix with vanilla pudding. Since my family loves more fillings, I take 2 sachets and make 2 cakes from this amount. One is always eaten immediately, and the second is stretched for 2 days, plus we also treat my students who come to classes.
This time we got 2 of these cakes.

Oven: I have a microwave oven with an oven and grill and there is a Frozen Pizza mode. I always bake something on it, it turns out quickly and tasty. I usually set the weight to 1.4 kg, if the top is not browned, then add another 4-5 minutes on the upper grill.

(For several years now, the microwave has only half or less of the display, and therefore I don't know the exact time, but I can say approximately 15 minutes. When the display worked clearly, I filled in the cooking algorithm, so I use it.)

I think everyone knows their oven well and will select the optimal mode, and if you tell us here, I will be very grateful.

Sorry, but this is the only photo of this cake that I have in stock.
I photographed for a child to call home for a tasty treat. I didn’t think I’ll ever post a recipe somewhere. Now I will take beautiful photos of dishes to make them look beautiful.

Mom Tanya
Natalia, the recipe is interesting! Of course, I would like a cutaway, a side view ... And clarifications: the shape of what diameter, the bottle of milk - how much is it? "A little soda" to what extent?)))
Karmelita30
Milk bottle - like 930 or 960 ml - House in the Village
The shape can be any - I have like 26 and 20 (I always do in 2 forms - more and less). I had a set of 3 bakeware, so I always take the largest and medium. My little one is generally idle. If you want the cake to be taller, take a form with a smaller diameter, if you want it to be larger in diameter, take a larger diameter.

Soda or baking powder - I put even less than 1/4 tsp
Mom Tanya
Karmelita30, thank you!) Now I would fix it in the original data!)))
Karmelita30
Done :)
By the way, the cutaway photo is similar to Bork's Poppy Pie on their website, only with the top crumb.

Natalia, a very interesting recipe !! Thank you!! Everything seems to be simple, you will need to try.
With your permission, I will edit your recipe !! Can? And then it is difficult to read.
And so what I think .... Is this cake or pie?
And if you can next time, how will you bake, can you share your photos?
Karmelita30
Ludmila, thanks for the info. I will definitely share. This cake (or pie) is actually very easy to make. In Germany it is called Mohnkuchen mit Streusel.
Ps. of course, edit as you see fit.

I love German cuisine, I must try to bake such a cake - the recipe is very interesting
Svetlana051

Karmelita30

"Oven: I have a microwave oven with an oven and a grill and there is a Frozen pizza mode. I always bake something on it, it turns out quickly and tasty."

Tell me, can you bake cookies or pies for example, too? A special form for the microwave should be? My gas oven is useless, but I don't dare try everything in the microwave.
Karmelita30
Bishka, I have special teflon molds. Do you also have an oven and grill mode? Otherwise, you cannot simply use such dishes on microwaves. Starts to spark.

I use the Frozen pizza mode: cutlets, casseroles, pies, khachapuri, cakes, cheesecakes, small pies (only there I reduce the time during the cooking process, because when you turn on the first portion, the oven heats up, and then I just take out one dish, add time and put on another dish). It turns out the first portion of the pies is baked for 10-12 minutes, and the next 6-7 minutes. And also, since I have a double grill there, I do not grease the dish with oil, otherwise everything will burn.
Ilona
Girls, what models of microwaves do you have? And then I was lucky enough to get a Panasonic without a turntable, that is, there is a flat bottom and nothing is spinning. You can bake rectangular biscuits !!!! It only remains to find rectangular silicone molds :)))) they are not, damn it ... And I ask because I am interested in the pizza mode. Maybe I have an oven with an oven mode? There are convection, grill, microwaves, and a container for water to steam. There are no instructions. I got it.
Rada-dms
Ilona, convection is the oven, I bake everything on it! And that the book has no recipes and instructions for your Panasonic?
Rada-dms
Ilona, on convection without microwaves, you can bake in any shape, I sometimes bake even in glass rectangular ones, placing baking paper.
Karmelita30
Ilona, if you know the model, then you can go to the Mvideo website and download the instructions there. I did this while I was looking for a new microwave, but still I ordered a SHARP and they brought it to me today.

I have my old SHARP (with double grill and convection) for 13 years, and recently the upper grill flew. I went shopping, but I don't like any others. I looked and read instructions in Mvideo; what I want will be too difficult for my mother, and I don't like others. But the Internet helped us and in one of the stores I found a SHARP - a model newer than my previous one, but all the modes are the same, others were just added. And most importantly, it has a double grill and convection, inside it is metal and a metal turntable. True, in the old one, the turntable was arranged a little differently.
Now I was puzzled by the question. It says there that you need to put a saucer between the turntable and the grill with the dish on which the cake is baked. I have never done that. And now I'm thinking, should the saucer be filled with water? Will it not crack there?
As for the forms, silicone is sold both square and rectangular. But (!) It should be written on them that they are suitable for a microwave oven, then it will be possible to cook in a mixed mode.
Ilona
Thanks for the tip with the M-video! I'll have to take a look. While I do everything on a whim. There were no instructions, time was the same ... How is this double grill? I have a choice to light the whole grill or one part of it + convection.
Karmelita30
The double grill is the top (quartz) and the bottom (normal). I was so used to this that I could not refuse. And such a grill, as I understood, is available only in some models.
By the way, it turns out that I have not used the oven for all 13 years. Grill only. But now, on the new one, I have already tried the grill, and the oven, and Microwaves. I make cottage cheese casseroles, then I put berries on top, pour jelly for the cake and .... It turns out a delicious cheesecake.
Ilona
oops ... can I have this cheese recipe? I have a Panasonic NN-CS596S inverter, you can write how to cook in the oven. from below I have a ceramic bottom. And where is the grill from below? never seen. Let's go to the studio model number? I'm going to kill myself now that we are chatting on the wrong topic!

Ilona
Cool! And when can I use the bottom? After all, the turntable plate will crack probably? or are there any special dishes?
* I will transfer the conversation to the topic on microwave
Karmelita30
I make cheesecake like this:

Sometimes on the island of shortcrust pastry: flour, sugar, vanilla sugar, butter - stir into crumbs, as in the above recipe and put on the bottom of the mold.

Or you can take cookies, soak them in coffee with cognac and put 1 layer on the bottom of a split form.

But most often I do it without any bottom layer at all.

750 grams of cottage cheese
3 eggs
Sugar a little less than half a glass.
1 tablespoon semolina.
You can take a mixture of Curd (when available). But then you need to add 250 ml of milk.
Vanilla sugar (Dr. Otter) half a bag.

Beat everything well in a food processor or mixer.
Put in a mold and put in the oven (I put 1.0 kg on Fresh pizza - in the previous Sharpe I put 1.4 kg on Frozen pizza). If you see what is burning from above, then decrease the time.

When it is ready, remove it from the oven.
Make red cake jelly. 2 sachets dr. Otcher (mix with sugar and water, stirring, bring to a boil.

Spread 1 packet of 500 grams of thawed or fresh strawberries on our casserole (or cherries - if desired, then it must be mixed with sugar so that it is not very sour) and slowly pour our jelly, starting from the middle. Refrigerate. And serve it to the table.

My child just doesn't like casserole, but with jelly he eats it by both cheeks.
Bon Appetit.
Karmelita30
Ilona, so it is also material. Will not crack or melt. I had a previous metal one.
Ilona
Quote: Karmelita30
Ilona, she is also material. Will not crack or melt. I had a previous metal one.
Aaaa ... I'm used to the fact that usually the plate is glass and spins.
Thanks for the cheese !!! Cheese is the same sapecane! I have a wagon of black currant. I'll try to do it. The truth in the country is not such a smart microwave. There is only a grill and waves.
Karmelita30
Ilona, and you try the mixed grill + waves, or first on the waves, and then brown on the grill.
By the way, I found pictures of my baklava, also from my Sharpik. Now I'll throw the recipe into a general topic.
Ilona
Come on !!!
Karmelita30
Ilona, found your instructions? 🔗

I don't know how to send a private message, so I wrote here.

Ps. By the way, I also looked at it, and if SHARP hadn't found it, I would have bought it.
Ilona
I've been reading the instructions for the whole day, thanks !!! I have not yet got hold of the recipes, so that I can understand when which modes to use, otherwise they can be combined, etc., etc. the head even
Karmelita30
Sorry for offtopic, but I found Panasonic's website has recipes by type of technique. Everything is there step by step.

Arka
Natalya, but how could I still look at the cut to understand if I want such a cake, or not
