Ingredients

marshmallow (I have 2 packs) taste
sour cream (I have 100 g) taste
black currant, grated with sugar taste
any nuts (I have almonds-40 g) taste
mint, citrus for decoration taste

Cooking method

  • The easiest and "fastest" cake I've ever met! The recipe from the magazine "Gastronom" has long been waiting in the wings, and in the summer heat it turned out to be simply irreplaceable.
  • You don't need to bake, whip and roll anything! We buy any marshmallow in the store (creme brulee, fruit, coffee or regular) and
  • the greatest physical effort that will need to be made is to separate the marshmallow halves. And the most difficult thing is to carefully collect and coat the layers of the cake with cream.
  • We take any amount of marshmallow and ingredients - depending on the size of the dish and your love for sweets.
  • We spread the marshmallow halves on a dish with the flat side down, as tightly as possible to each other.
  • Prepare the cream in advance: mix sour cream with mashed black currant (that's something, but I have enough currants until the new season!). It gives a pleasant sourness. I used currants made with Zhelfix.

  • We coat one layer with cream and sprinkle with nut crumbs. For me, almonds seem tastier, they have a kind of "amarette bitterness" in it.

  • After that we spread the second layer and again the nuts.

  • Now the last layer of the cake (I have only two layers), which we decorate with citrus slices, mint, nuts ...

  • Marshmallow cake will look great both in winter on a festive table, on an elegant tablecloth, and in summer on a country wooden table!

  • Place the finished cake in the refrigerator for several hours - it will soak, become so dense that you can only eat it with a knife and a fork (I don't keep it in the cold for so long).

  • And no need to feel sorry for the cream! Also put mint and citrus fruits not only for decoration - they set off the taste so pleasantly!

Marina made a similar cake from marshmallows, only covered it with custard, and decorated the top of the cake with marshmallows in chocolate, it turned out beautifully, ate, but did not ask any more. The cake seemed a bit fat to me. But with such a cream I think it will be very tasty. Thank you

Vasilica, I also like this variety of fruits in the filling.
And citrus fruits with sweet marshmallows are so good - for me this combination was a discovery, and also mint (my favorite always and everywhere) here also creates its own charm!

Alyona, kiwi with strawberries are very suitable and I would leave some of the berries in the form of pieces. Well, if yours are already full of strawberries, it's better to grind everything.

did something similar last year. ate for a week. we can't look at marshmallows for a year. but sugar is practically not used in our country, so this degree of sweetness ... if I weren't sure for many years of practice, I would definitely say that something will definitely stick together now. but if done in 4 layers with currants and without sugar, then you might think.
