Today they brought me this slow cooker Until the weekend, there is no time to study it, but if something interests me by the model (not by recipes yet) - ask, I will try to answer
PapAnin
Could you suggest its size?
innesss-ka
Boxes or the most multi? I will be able to measure it in the evening when I return home)).
PapAnin
The most multi.
Thank you.

Dachshund, I tried to measure it))). It turned out that the height excluding the handle is 23.5 cm, with the handle - 27. The diameter, taking into account the protruding parts (the control panel in the front and the drip tray on the side), is 26 cm. redmond indicate the dimensions h / d / w - 29/26/26. That is, either this one is slightly lower, or "call")))

Yesterday I tested the multicooker on the "milk porridge" mode. Because, in fact, for this she took it. It turned out that I chose one of the most extreme - corn))). 0.5 m / glass for 0.5 l. milk + salt / sugar. I didn’t add oil, I didn’t draw a ring, I didn’t put a double boiler on top - all for the purity of the experiment. Well, of course I didn’t risk the delayed start, and it was also interesting.By the way, I really liked the simplicity of setting the delayed start: the mult has a built-in clock, when the delayed start button is pressed, the display shows the time equal to the current + set in the selected mode. For example, the time of day is 21.10. I select the "milk porridge" mode, the default time is 30 minutes. I press the "delayed start" and the display shows the time 21.40. That is, you will not be mistaken and you will not put less than what you need, but more - please turn the wheel))). I don’t know, maybe this is not a novelty anymore, but in my last year's model from Redmond, everything is completely different.
So, set the default "milk porridge" 30 minutes. I sit watching. After 11 minutes, a bubbling was heard, but nothing flooded through the valve))), and after a minute everything calmed down and was quietly boiling. After 30 minutes, the cartoon went into heating. And I opened it. Honestly, even before buying, reading the instructions with pictures, I began to hope that in this model the removable plate would also be non-boiling, as in the two-liter Phillips 3060 I liked. I can't show her photo yet, but it is similar in design. ... Therefore, when I opened the lid at the end of the regime, at first I was glad that the plate was not very dirty. But when I took it off mamadaragai, there was almost a portion of porridge in a saucer, and the lid was still splattered. But I still keep hoping, and you can cook a very "running" porridge on a multi-cooker of 95 degrees.
By the way, the porridge turned out to be very tasty. Here it is after mixing. Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
Here's another thing I liked (again, everything in comparison with the m90) - the "warming up" mode. Put out by a separate button - this is the first. And secondly, in the morning for 8 minutes he warmed up yesterday's porridge from the refrigerator for me (that is, for me it is quick compared to the heating mode in the m90, declared as for heating food too), and then kept warm for a long time until the child woke up and had breakfast. You must turn it off yourself (the time is not set).

Made a small photo review of my new assistant. Don't judge me strictly - I photographed and edited it with the phone, but the model is still new and there is little information - it may be useful to someone. So, the equipment is standard-minimum: a slow cooker, a bowl, a removable plate, a drip tray, a cord, a double boiler, a spoon, a scoop and a measuring cup, a recipe book, an operating manual and a service book.
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
What fundamentally distinguishes this model from other three-liter multicooker made in such a round form factor: firstly, it is a removable plate, secondly, a rotary knob for settings and program selection, and thirdly, a shutdown button on the body. The first two factors turned out to be decisive for me when choosing (and I had already managed to make sure that they were conveniently available), the third one was just a pleasant bonus, but turned out to be also very convenient.Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
The plate is interesting - with four small holes around the perimeter and four larger holes around the central hole, and has different levels, there is a suspicion that it should work on the principle of a non-boiling lid.

So far, the probability is 50/50, since during this time two milk cereals were prepared: the corn one escaped (but did not go through the valve), and the rice one - without attempts to escape:
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
Three-liter bowl, "ceramic". I was glad that it was completely smooth, without a pattern on the bottom. So far, everything flies away from her (tested on a casserole and buckwheat for a side dish), then we'll see.
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
By the way, the "Express" mode is touch-sensitive, it worked until the water was completely evaporated
The heating element is ordinary, light (it would be better if black).
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23 Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
Now about the rotary switch. It turned out to be so convenient! Here is the multicooker in standby mode (the icon on the right on the display means that the sound signals for selecting programs and settings are disabled, it still signals the end of cooking):
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
With a slight movement of your hand, turning the wheel to the right or left, we switch to the program selection mode, the first of which is "Multipovar".
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
Further - according to the list in any direction and at any speed - it is very convenient. Having selected the desired mode, just set the required time with the wheel. Then press the large button inside this wheel once to start the program and, if necessary, turn off the heating again.
It is also very convenient to set the delayed start time (I wrote above).
I appreciated the heating mode: a light touch of one button is pressed and relatively quickly reaches a temperature of 70-75 degrees, while a direct countdown starts until you turn it off yourself (well, or after 12 hours, in my opinion, it turns off itself).
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
As for the management of the resume, this is: if there are no small children in the house, it is very convenient - it saves time and sometimes nerves))) But there is no child lock, so the child can also easily start the process.
And, finally, a comparison of sizes with a five-liter, but compact multicooker Redmond M90:
Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23 Multicooker Redmond RMC-M13 and Redmond RMC-M23
As you can see, it wins in size only in depth.
No significant drawbacks have been noted yet (maybe I'm still in a state of euphoria?))) Well, except for the smell of a new device and silicone. The quality in general could be better, but on the other hand, this is a budget segment, and there are a lot of bells and whistles ... If significant shortcomings are noticed, I will unsubscribe.
So far, I am very pleased with the purchase. If anyone is looking for a 3-liter multicooker and an inexpensive one, then I think this is what you need!

yes, it looks like a Phillips plate, though slightly flatter than a Phillips plate

Is it a touchscreen, or does it just have a preset time without the possibility of adjusting it (Redmond does this in its multicooker)? How long did the regime work? Maybe change the conditions of his work to check?
innesss-ka
Manna, I hope so. Last time I cooked 1 m / s of buckwheat, flooded with water 2 m / s at room temperature. The program lasted 37 minutes. All the water has evaporated, buckwheat is slightly undercooked (it came on heating, although it had to be turned on manually). Now the specialist went to check. Only the "feathers" remainder in the pack came to hand. I poured it into a multi-glass - it turned out with a slide. decided to do the experiment. They almost covered the bottom. Poured hot water from a kettle. Launched. I waited with difficulty - I thought they would not burn? The program ran for 30 minutes. Almost all the water evaporated, there were small droplets along the bottom, but this is good, because this is not cereal and I don't need overheating of the bowl. I understand that the experiment is not "clean". I will definitely follow along. So far, one of the disadvantages of this mode is that after it the heating does not turn on (okay there is no delayed start, but the heating is not done why ???) and it ends unexpectedly without warning like a countdown (the snake runs, and then bam - second shift squeaks and writes "End").

Let's see, so far, in terms of convenience, it delights me))). Well, the guarantee of 25 months gives hope))). By the way, I don’t know how in Russia, but I want to say to girls from Ukraine: if you order in an online store not at the office. website - be careful. To me, for example, when placing an order, a nice girl tried to "suck in" a surge protector in addition to it, and most importantly - an additional (to 12 months) year of warranty! I tell her that the manufacturer's warranty is 25, she: I'll clarify now. Well, in general, in a frustrated voice (I also didn't need a filter), she then confirmed my information. So don't fall for gimmicks.

There are two news about M13 modes: good and not so good.
1. "Express" still sensory... Buckwheat (1 m / st) + room temperature water (2 m / st) - the program worked for 37 minutes, active boiling (steam from the valve) appeared 16 minutes after the start. Rice "jasmine" (0.5 m / st) + water 70 degrees (1 m / st) - the program worked for 29 minutes, boiling was 12 minutes after the start. In all cases, no liquid remained in the bowl. Rice slightly dried (not fried) to the bottom of the bowl, a thin film formed on the bottom, which disappeared after stirring. The taste is. (There is a photo of rice in the bowl and on the plate, but not clear, so I don't post it).
2, A problem has emerged with low-temperature modes (high-temperature is not tested), in particular the "yogurt" program. I was quite successful in preparing yogurt in separate jars on the program of the same name in Redmond m 90. But I decided to cook it in m 13 right in the bowl and it didn't ferment at all! I noticed that the multi body is very cold. I measured t-ru - it turned out to be 36 degrees! Although the temperature modes on the programs are not indicated in the manual, the standard should be 40. Therefore, without frustration and no doubts, I turned on the multi-cook at 40 degrees and it's good that I didn't go far. I felt that the bowl was hotter than necessary, measured it - 45! In general, I finished that unfortunate yogurt right in the same bowl from the m13, inserted into a 5-liter one in my m90. Then, for several days, if possible, I measured the temperature at low-temperature modes and here are the results (at the start, 1 liter of water at room temperature 25-28 degrees):
yogurt program - after 1 hour it reached and after 2 hours there was a temperature of 36 degrees. (stable, but not for yoghurt, maybe that's the best for sour cream)
yeast dough program - every 5 minutes the temperature increased by 2 degrees, after 30 minutes it reached 35, after 50 minutes it was 36, but did not rise above 36. (girls, I don't bake bread, so draw your own conclusions)
Then the most interesting and sad thing:
multi-cook mode 35 degrees - after 15 minutes the t-ra was 40 degrees, it did not fall below 38, the average was 38.5 - 39, the maximum was 41 after 1 hour 15 minutes (the indicated t-re clearly does not correspond, but for yogurt - what you need, I will try to do on this t-re)
multi-cook mode 40 degrees - after 25 minutes t-ra reached 45 degrees and almost did not drop below, average - 45-46, maximum - 47 after 45 minutes from the beginning (it feels like the modes are "shifted" by one position)
multi-cook mode 45 degrees (although I didn't need it for anything only to confirm my theory) - after 10 minutes it was 45 degrees, after 20 - 49.5 degrees, average - 50, maximum - 51 in 30 minutes from the start.
One conclusion suggests itself - in the multi-cook mode, the temperature regimes are knocked down (for now, I'm talking only about low ones), because there cannot be an error of 6-7 degrees if the step is 5! BUT! I do not exclude (and even hope) that it is in my copy, well, in the worst case, in this batch. Because for me it is not critical, as an option, I will make yoghurt on a "multi-cook" 35 degrees. I decided to write so that potential buyers who stake on these modes, in particular "yogurt", would pay attention to this.
Manna
innesss-ka, the fact that the "Express" touch mode is great!
And the fact that the temperatures are so shifted is okay. The main thing is to measure them in advance (which was done) and you can already safely use them for your own purposes

Wildebeest, Svetlan, and in the 23rd, too, are the temperatures shifted?

By the way, innesss-ka, and how does the "languor" mode work in the 13th? Svetlana wrote that in the 23rd it boils violently.

Manna, I have not tried "languor" yet, if possible I will check - I will write. If it's just on the water - will it do?
But for the sake of experiment I cooked pasta on the program "Macaroni". I never cooked it in a big one - why? Only the mode turned on once - it was interesting. And I even liked this one. The cartoon squeaked, I threw in the macaroons, by default 8 minutes, did not change anything, I pressed start. After 8 minutes, perfectly cooked horns - not overcooked, not undercooked, that's just how it should be. The bowl is small and light. It was convenient to drain. It is also easy to wash (in the sense that it is light).

innesss-ka
Raspberries, take a closer look, nice cartoon! I took it as an additional one for milk, baking, did not plan to cook something with strong smells in it, but I see that I like it more and more - no matter how it becomes the main one!
Manna, I report)))
languishing program - the same liter of room temperature water boiled 40 minutes after the start, the boiling was not too active when the lid was opened At once stopped, but when it was closed, it was resumed and continued constantly (and how should it be?). For comparison:
multi-cook mode 95 degrees - boiled after 30 minutes, but the boil was periodic (as the ten was turned on, as I understand it);
multi-cook mode 100 degrees - boiled after 18 minutes, boiling is constant until the lid is opened, after opening it stops after a few seconds (3-5);
multi-cook mode 105 degrees - the exit to the mode was already lazy to check, I just switched from 100 to 105 - boiling is more active after opening the lid does not stop immediately (more than 10 seconds).
That is, all modes work differently. The "languor" gains t-ru the longest and the fastest "loses" it. At least that's my conclusion. Boys, girls - connoisseurs of physics and cooking - please comment.

extinguishing program - a slight boil in 13 minutes, 2-3 minutes, and then almost did not boil (the state of "preboiling" and even a little less). Unfortunately, I don't have a culinary thermometer, that's just such observations.
Manna
OK, thanks, innesss-ka This is not longing at all. More like extinguishing. The temperature is probably closer to 100 ° C, possibly 98 ° C. And languor is 80 ° C on average.

And a multi-cook ... there, apparently, also a 3-5 ° C shift upwards, I suppose (judging by the description)
innesss-ka
Here, too, just "languor" in m 90 confuses - in my opinion it is even more active there than "extinguishing". Therefore, somehow later I will also check the "extinguishing" in m 13. And I really want to, but my hands do not reach to check the "baby food". I would like to study my cartoon, so as not to translate products in vain, and people seem to benefit from it)))
Wildebeest
Manna, innesss-ka, girls, I have not measured the temperature in any mode.
I made yoghurt on a multibove at 35 ° and on the "yoghurt" program, everything worked out well. I put the yogurt in jars, I like it so much. I don't know why, but I poured a little water into the bowl.
I liked the "curd" program very much, I cooked from two liters of kefir. The cottage cheese turned out to be very tender. Doesn't it depend on kefir? What do you think?
"Milk porridge" gave me a tear, during which I caught it. I cooked for one glass of crushed rice - 300 ml of water + 700 ml of milk.
I tried the "express" mode, the rice is a little fried, apparently, this program is more suitable for buckwheat.
"Rice / cereals" - boiled rice, rice turned out to be great. There was no grill downstairs.
I used the "frying" program, made frying. Fries in moderation, the main thing is to stir, or even burn, you can, as in a frying pan.
"Baking" - so far only baked wheat-rye bread. The bottom of the bread turned out to be moderately fried, the walls were slightly paler, the dome was pale. She turned and baked for ten minutes. During baking, the bread rose and rested against the pimp on the lid. But this rise depends on yeast, proofing, "conversion" during proofing.
"Pelmeni" - I was satisfied with the function. Although the dumplings did not have very good "seams", they did not creep apart.

Today I poured a bit of vegetable oil into MV, fried bacon, added onions, fried it all a little, then crumbled the chopped boiled potatoes and put them on the "stewing" mode. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. The potatoes turned out with light frying. I did not add water.

I also bought a bowl A-503, I liked it more than my own bowl. The native weighs 431 grams, and the non-native weighs 640 grams.
A-503 wobbles less in the unit. While I use it, I put my family aside, but not for long.

Maybe today I will be honored to investigate the languor mode, but this is written with a pitchfork on the water. I really hoped for him, but I never met him thoroughly.
innesss-ka
Wildebeest, here's how, but my rice milk on "milk porridge" turned out great, without even trying to escape - maybe it's all the same in the power of the matter (as I understood you, m 23 by 5 liters)? And the "express" did not fry my rice ...
Wildebeest
innesss-ka, we eat cereals from wheat, barley, crushed rice and corn grits, and they require stirring so that no lumps form.
Later I will try to cook millet porridge, it is not necessary to stir it. Maybe she won't run away.
And my cartoon is a five-liter M23.
Manna
Quote: Wildebeest
The cottage cheese turned out to be very tender. Doesn't it depend on kefir? What do you think?
It depends on the temperature and duration of the heat treatment of kefir. The lower the temperature and the shorter the heat treatment, the softer and smoother the curd.
Quote: Wildebeest
"Milk porridge" gave me a tear, during which I caught it. I cooked for one glass of crushed rice - 300 ml of water + 700 ml of milk.
So there was a hundred square meters. Apparently, you need to try on a multi-cook ... Judging by the measurements, it is probably better at 90 ° C, although ... if it does not run at 95 ° C, then it is better this way.

Quote: innesss-ka
maybe it's all about power
well ... in general ... it shouldn't depend on power. The thermostat must work correctly, regardless of the power of the device. Power affects the heating rate and the ability to maintain high temperatures.

Quote: Wildebeest

porridge made from wheat, barley, crushed rice and corn grits, and these require stirring to prevent lumps from forming.
What lumps? I have never met them in the section. I rinse the cereal, fill it with liquid, turn on the mode. I stir it at the end of the program. Here semolina, yes, it requires stirring when combined with liquid, and then even semolina can not be mixed, unless, of course, it is not very thick
Wildebeest
Manna, for cereals: it means that I am in a tank with such cereals or in the last century.
Thanks for the advice. I will investigate, but I'm going to be friends with this cartoon for a long time.

Power affects the heating rate
It is precisely at the moment of heating that it can run, because at this moment it will be stronger than in a less powerful one (in Redmond 01, for example, it does not run away). But this is my version.
Manna
Quote: innesss-ka
at the moment of heating, it can run, because at this moment it will be stronger than in a less powerful
the temperature is controlled by a thermal sensor, and not by the power of the device. If overheating occurs, then the thermal sensor either does not work correctly, or the mode algorithm is programmed incorrectly. This has nothing to do with the power of the device. Another thing is that the algorithms could be programmed initially for the 13th model, and then transferred to the 23rd without adjusting for the bowl volume and heating rate.
innesss-ka
Mannochka, I probably again incomprehensibly explain myself, but I meant about the same: the device reaches the operating temperature faster due to the fact that it is more powerful, and the sensor, as I understand it, has some inertness and does not immediately (that is, not correctly) work ... In short, I mean that, like on the stove, it is more difficult to remove milk before it escapes from a strong fire than from a weak
Manna
innesss-ka, most often the algorithm of the device is as follows: first heating, and then measuring the temperature. So, if the time interval between the start of heating and measurement is too long, this option will be exactly:

faster than the sensor is triggered, and overheating occurs But this is already a jamb of developers

Raspberries, according to the recipes, probably not for me - I don't know how to upload them, and I don't cook anything special about it. I can only describe my observations by mode. For example, today I cooked corn milk porridge again.

After 10 minutes, a seething was heard and steam began to flow, but it lasted no more than a minute, then everything was quiet. At the end of the program, I opened the lid and what I see: the porridge is ready, the plate is spattered. But! I removed the plate, and there is a clean multi lid, only pure condensate! Although there is a bit of cereal left on the plate itself in the center, this is nothing at all compared to the last time. So the inner cap saved me. I'm glad. Now you can put on a deferral.

That is, the way I did today? I just put on the plate, did not touch the ring (it turned out that when the lid was closed, the plate lay on the bowl, and the ring was on top of it). I, too, apparently in the tank.
Manna
Nooo, the ring must be on the bowl !!! Otherwise, the porridge may float under the lid !!! The ring should be on top of the plate, like in any other multicooker

Well, however, I thought so, although today's experiment suited me))). Thank you!

I understand that languor is when the product first comes to a boil, boils calmly (not violently) for a while, and then the temperature slowly decreases, remaining slightly above the heating temperature. And here is some kind of flaw or another concept.
Raspberries
innesss-ka, and you rinse the cereal before cooking?
innesss-ka
Raspberries, sorry, I missed your question. Corn? Usually yes. Although there are disagreements on this issue, apparently it still depends on the manufacturer (I seem to have a clean look).Sometimes, when I'm in a hurry and I know that I will eat it myself, I may not rinse it.

Quote: Manna

She has a curious control panel. I wonder how in time she will show herself
Girls, I'm crying! This control ring let me down (Manna, probably, looked into the water) It became live your life uncontrollable - when scrolling in one direction, it jumps forward and backward through the menu, and the time is generally unrealistic to set.
In general, I took it to the service, but they did not give me any comforting forecasts. They said - most likely for cancellation. Now I will wait for the result. Keep your fists for me. Although I don't even know which is better - I want it to be repaired and returned, because I like it! Yes, and I don’t want to mess with shipments. On the other hand, what if this is a conceptual flaw? So, girls, weigh everything before buying. And I went to cry (and my advice in choosing I will go clean)
Raspberries
innesss-ka, dont cry
Better a new one (taking into account that there were also some problems with temperature conditions there).
Wildebeest
innesss-ka, do not worry. Buying this or that, we play the lottery: whoever is lucky. For some, the thing lasts a long time, for others it dies sooooo quickly.
But I was also upset.

Girls, thanks for your support! Of course, I understand that this is not the worst grief! I will hope for a positive result and what else I will share with good news.
