Mirta BM2088. Baguettes with honey

Ingredients

Warm water 175 ml
Salt 3/4 tsp
Honey 2 tsp
Wheat flour 210 g
Rye flour 40 g
Fast acting dry yeast 3/4 tsp
Oat flakes 25 g

Cooking method

  • Dough preparation:
  • • Add all the ingredients to the bread pan in the order they appear in the recipe.
  • • Place the dish in the bread maker.
  • • Select the program "Dough" and press the button "Start".
  • • At the end of the cycle, open the bread maker and remove the dough.
  • Making baguettes:
  • • Sprinkle flour on your hands to prevent the dough from sticking to them, and carefully remove the dough from the mold.
  • • Make a ball out of the dough and divide it into 4 pieces of equal size.
  • • Take one "blank", place it on a surface previously dusted with flour,
  • crush the dough with your palm and shape it into a quadrangle.
  • • Fold the resulting quadrangle in half, flatten it a little and then put it "seam"
  • up. Repeat the procedure to make the rectangle thinner.
  • • Then wrap the dough around your thumb, pressing with the palm of your other hand on the “seam”.
  • Repeat this procedure 3-4 times to make the baguette uniform and its length
  • corresponds to the length of the baking tray in the baking rack.
  • • Then roll up the baguette and repeat these procedures with the other dough “blanks”.
  • • Make cuts on the top surface of the baguettes using a specially designed
  • for this tool, or with a serrated knife.
  • • Finally, to make the baguettes look beautiful and golden, moisten them with a brush
  • surface.
  • • Place the baguettes on trays, place the trays on the baking rack.
  • • Before placing the baguettes in the bread maker, do not forget to remove the rectangular
  • baking sheet for bread.
  • • Set the "Bake" mode and press the "Start" button.
  • • After the sound signal, the finished baguettes can be removed from the oven.
