Tanya-Fanya
Mannochka, thank you very much for the side dish master class in this cartoon.

If you pour boiling water into the cereal in those proportions, is it necessary to reduce the time?
And whether boiling water will speed up the cooking process of such a side dish, it seems to me that it will boil faster.

Thanks for the help!

Manna
It is not necessary to reduce the time, otherwise you can get undercooked rice. And when pouring hot water, you need more of it (water), otherwise you can also get undercooked rice. I always pour cold water over cereals.
Pronay
Manna, please tell me, what does adding oil give? Well, except for the taste.
Manna
Tatyana, rice stickiness decreases.
Pronay
I realized thanks.
brendabaker
Manna, hello, please tell me how to cook corn porridge in this slow cooker. As a result, I need to get 500 ml of ready-made porridge. Since we will eat with the dog, oil is excluded.
Thanks in advance,
Manna
Oksana, are we talking about liquid porridge or side dish? The principle of cooking the side dish is the same as described in this recipe.

If you need a liquid porridge, then the recipe is here

POLEENTA, I need to make polenta. It won't fit here.
I cook polenta in a slow cooker in a ratio of 1 to 3.5 for 3-4 hours on LOW - it turns out great, but MUCH
In phillips I tried it in porridge on the automatic one - it turned out water separately, cereals separately.
I left it overnight and made it in porridge for 45 minutes, it stuck and lumps appeared.
Perhaps you need to in manual mode at a temperature of 80 "C
but can I drive baby phillips for 3 hours, at least

I really liked the model, because I cooked such a complex round grain whole grain rice extremely well.
buckwheat is above praise,
liked how I made the eggs (I have an egg cooker and can compare)
really liked the friendly European menu,
I would not want to spoil it, I already love it. that's why I'm bothering you

You can. I sometimes boil legumes at 90 degrees for 3 hours, when necessary, so that they are very boiled.
brendabaker
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
So I won't have any problems either
Manna
And, well, while I was "walking", everything had already cleared up.
I just want to point out that porridge from a clay bowl is still different from porridge from a non-stick bowl. At least I like clay more.
brendabaker
Me too! And much more. There is an idea to put a small clay pot inside and cook there, pouring boiling water up to half.
I'm so dodging for the sake of a delayed start actually.
Because the power of the slow cooker is 200W, and the power of the phillips is 340W. There is a difference in 4 hours. And so, if not by time, then of course in a slow cooker. I have adapted to put heat-resistant tea cups from Ikea in the bowl. pour boiling water and cook so-so portioned and semolina porridge and oatmeal. Very comfortably
But with brown phillips rice I was just fascinated.
Manna
I always cook a side dish in this phillips.I like. I got used already. Conveniently. And the portion is the same at one time.
brendabaker
I am sure that I will also adapt, it is just that not everything happens in one day.
Now I put buckwheat in the morning. Eh, I will learn how to bake pancakes with yogurt and cocoa and my sweet life will begin.
Tanya-Fanya
Thank you so much, Mannochka! Buckwheat is perfectly cooked according to your proportions 1: 2 and your recommendations "Porridge" for 20 minutes.
At the exit, swollen and crumbly garnish buckwheat.
Manna
Tanechka, I am very glad that my developments were useful, and I liked the result!
Yulentsia
Cooked rice today. Mistral Krasnodar round grain not steamed. All according to the recipe, only the spices were "Provencal herbs" (I like them or add Italian to rice when "oriental" is not needed, but I want some additional flavor for rice). The portion in the recipe for my husband and I for a side dish for two was perfect. But the rice turned out to be rather dry for my taste. I didn’t plan to keep it heated, lunch was on the way. But we did not hear the signal, and the rice stood on heating for 10 minutes. Maybe because of this it was dry ?. And a little gummy. It never happened to me on the stove. Although, maybe it did not happen, since I usually added butter to hot rice? Next time I want to try not to pour the vegetable in the beginning, but add creamy or some kind of hot "pouring" to the finished rice.

turned out rather dry
Yes, because of the heating.

brendabaker, I cooked milk in a clay pot in Philips, stewed chicken for several hours (there is a photo in the subject). I bought the movie thanks to Mannochka --- her reviews are super! Everything is very clearly shown and told! : rose: Mannochka, did you think that Filya takes more liquid on cereals than other multi ...

Mannochka, didn’t you think that Filya takes more liquid on cereals than other multi ...
All the time I cook cereals in this phillips exactly according to the proportions that I indicated in this recipe. More liquid when cooking side dishes or cereals? For side dishes the same amount. And porridge, yes, will be thicker with the usual proportions, because there is a boil.
petu
Yes, Mannochka, I'm talking about milk porridge .... Thank you, Mannochka, I received an answer, I understood everything ,,,
