Stewed potatoes with pork ribs (pressure cooker Polaris 0305)

Ingredients

Potatoes (net) 1 kg 300 g
Rack of pork ribs 450 g
Bulb onions 1 PC.
Carrot 0.5 pcs (40 g)
Pork seasoning 1 tsp
Water 120 ml
Salt 1 + 1.5 + 0.5 tsp
Oregano 1 + 1 tsp
Olive oil 2 + 2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • In recipes for the Polaris pressure cooker, there are already many different options for cooking potatoes. But it was about this stewed man that my Belarusian husband said: "Amazing!"
  • I have long wanted to achieve a stewed taste in potatoes, such as is obtained after the oven. I tried to cook for a longer time on the "Stew" or use the "Slow cooker" mode, it worked out well, but not that! After 15-20 minutes, all the flavors disappeared and the potatoes became slightly colorless.
  • After long experiments, I tried to apply the slow cooker algorithm: a short intense heating, and then languor. And then everything worked out! And the aromas have not disappeared, and the taste of the potatoes is wonderful.
  • Try it. Compare.
  • Cooking.
  • Defrost the pork ribs slightly, sprinkle with seasoning and salt (1 tsp). Let it lie down for a while.
  • Prepare the vegetables during this time.
  • Chop the onion finely (on a Berner 7 grater).
  • Grate the carrots on a coarse grater or cut into cubes on a Berner 3.5 grater.
  • Fry the ribs in a frying pan or in a saucepan of a pressure cooker on the "Fry" with 2 tbsp. l. olive oil.
  • Stewed potatoes with pork ribs (pressure cooker Polaris 0305)
  • Cut the potatoes into 1 cm thick cubes.
  • In a large saucepan (bowl), stir in the potatoes, carrots, and onions. Season with salt (1.5 tsp), sprinkle with oregano (1 tsp) and pour over with olive oil (2 tbsp). Mix everything well.

  • Place the vegetables on the ribs.
  • Stir salt (0.5 tsp) in water and pour into the pressure cooker gently along the sides of the pan (so as not to wash off the salt and oregano from the vegetables).
  • Close the lid of the pressure cooker and set the valve to the "Pressure" position.
  • Buckwheat program, pressure - 2, time - 15 minutes... Then leave on "Heating" 1 hour.
  • 20 minutes after the start of "Heating", the cover is unlocked. Open it, taste the dish with salt (add salt if necessary) and add another 1 tsp. oregano. Stir. Leave to languish further on "Heating".
  • After “Warming up” for an hour, stir again and serve.

Cooking program:

"Buckwheat" + "Heating"

Note

If you don't have enough time, you can cook ribbed potatoes on program "Extinguishing", pressure - 2, time - 30 minutes. It will be very worthy (but not languishing).

Potatoes can be kept “Warm up” for even longer. But I just didn't have the patience to endure these aromas ...

Antonovka
Shelena,
Elena, thanks for the recipe! I'll try in my pressure cooker (Shteba)
Shelena
Antonovka, you are welcome! Try it for your health!
Your Staff has an adjustable "Heating" - there is a place to roam!
Solt
Elena, did you cook chicken with young potatoes in this mode? I want to try to cook, I cooked on stewing, but I just want the stewed taste of potatoes
I want to cut the potatoes coarsely (into four parts), I think 13 minutes should be enough ..
What do you advise?

Shelena
Vera, I haven't tried to cook chicken with young potatoes like that yet. But I think it will turn out to be no less tasty!
Just be sure to mix the potatoes with butter and seasoning before stewing.
Solt
Thank you!
Already cooked several times - very tasty!
After frying, I put the chicken on top of the potatoes - this way it is additionally soaked in chicken juice.
I liked the taste of the dish more on this mode than on stewing.
Shelena
Vera, thank you for your opinion.
Here potatoes cooked in this way are also tastier for me. And I put the meat half up, half down.

Lenochka, I have a "thank you" for the recipe. Very, very, very. Now it is still languishing. Only I have a question: I only had 5 minutes on the "buckwheat". I had to set the "extinguishing" for 30 minutes.
Shelena
Anna, I'm glad you got to this recipe. I went to him for a long time, so he is especially dear to me.
I suspect that you have not completely figured out the time setting in the pressure cooker.
The algorithm is as follows:
1. Choosing a program.
2. Select the pressure with the "Pressure" button.
3. Set the required time (the table of possible settings is in the manual) with the "+" and "-" buttons.
Having chosen the "Buckwheat" program and having seen 5 minutes on the scoreboard, you had to click on "+" until the time increased to 15 minutes.
Anna, with any questions about the pressure cooker, write to me in Lichka (I will answer as soon as I can) or in Temka, where there are a lot of people, and someone will respond to the question faster. Here is a link to the topic:

Delicious dishes to you!

Thank you, I figured it out. It was people who stood above my soul, it was not possible to "enter" right away.
Shelena
Anna, it is better to call everyone who is above the soul (at least for the first time) AFTER cooking. And then SO "will help" ...
