Ingredients

flour 120 g
cocoa powder 1 \ 2 tbsp. l
sugar 75 g
vegetable oil 70 ml
salt pinch
kefir 100 ml
baking powder 1 tsp
vinegar 6% 1 tsp
red food coloring

Cooking method

  • Recipe adapted by me from Martha Stewart. Per 6 cupcakes (standard silicone pad)
  • Preheat the oven to 180C
  • Place paper envelopes in molds. Mine were with hearts, but after baking nothing is visible
  • Combine flour, cocoa, sugar. Add kefir, color and butter, mix thoroughly until smooth.
  • * if you have dry food coloring, dilute it in kefir first.
  • (The amount of dye depends on its quality and the desired color. A gel spoon is enough for hellish red, and a tea spoon may not be enough for a dry one)
  • I combine baking powder with vinegar and add to the dough
  • Fill the molds 3/4 full and bake the muffins for 20 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
  • I thought for a long time which cream to choose, but decided that chocolate is still more in the theme of the holiday - therefore chocolate.
  • For a lot of cream:
  • 100 g of chocolate
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 200 gr icing sugar
  • 70 g cocoa powder
  • a few drops of vanilla extract (or flavor if desired)
  • It is necessary to melt the chocolate in a water bath. While it cools, beat the butter until airy, gradually adding powdered sugar and cocoa. Add melted chocolate and vanilla and whisk together well.
  • From the chocolate glaze, I planted arrows on the parchment, cooled them and pierced the cream

Cupcakes are no different from muffins in size. Cupcakes are just small cakes, the main difference in decoration. A cupcake decorated like a mini-cake is already a cupcake))) It translates as "cake in a cup", "cup cake". Wikipedia provides fairly accurate definitions on this score.
