Rice milk porridge with raisins (Panasonic SR-TMH 18)

Ingredients

Rice for cooking porridge (Krasnodar) 1 cup
milk 4-4.5 cups
salt, sugar taste
raisins 1/2 cup

Cooking method

  • We wash the rice, put it in a slow cooker.
  • Add salt, sugar, washed raisins.
  • Fill with milk. Since the thickness of the porridge depends on your desire and taste, determine the amount of milk yourself. My recipe (see photo) contains 4.5 cups of milk.
  • We close the lid and set the "milk porridge" mode

Note

Okay, let's go get some sleep! The porridge will be ready on time without your intervention.

Lydia
Didn't you try to download the cartoon in the evening (before going to bed to go to bed), pouring all the ingredients with cold milk from the refrigerator? Delayed start? True, I cook hercules for breakfast, because the whole family eats it, but rice should turn out.
Admin
Circumstances force me to make a "late" porridge, so I have no problem doing it in the morning.

Another option Rice Milk Porridge with Dried Fruit by Admin

The principle of preparation is absolutely the same, only together with rice we add dried fruits - apples, dried apricots, peaches, pears, raisins. It is not necessary to pre-soak dried fruits, just rinse in hot water.

Tip: add more milk, since dried fruits are dry and will also take milk into themselves.

The combination of sweet porridge and sweet and sour dried fruits is not even bad in harmony.
I think your fussy kids will also like this porridge.

That's what it is designed for And porridge is not only beautiful, they are also very tasty

Wait a minute, I'll cook some more porridge

And if baked apples are added instead of dried fruits - will it be delicious?

Well, it's not for everybody! Porridge is cooked in a slow cooker for 1 hour, which during this time will become with baked apples, they are already almost mashed. And so - dried fruits in whole pieces, retain their shape.

A matter of taste, of course, as you personally like, try

Rice for cooking porridge (Krasnodar) 1 cup
Milk 4-4.5 cups

Girls, and I came to a slightly different proportion of cereal-liquid.
For 1 part of rice I take:
2 parts water
3 parts milk
If it is less, my porridge turns out to be like a putty, very thick.

I observe exactly the same proportions for porridge where cereal = rice + millet in half.

An interesting combination - rice + millet, I never imagined this taste for myself, I should try to make it.

Admin, be sure to try it, I'm sure you won't regret it! Take 50 to 50.
I also want to buy Artek cereals for a multicooker. In my childhood I was like that, now I don't see something.

Masters! I can't get any milk porridge in the cartoon! The groats just swell a little, the milk (I dilute strongly with water) naturally becomes warm, and that's all! Not sure why? Mode "milk porridge", proportions in accordance with cartoon recipes, I just need not for 2-4 people, but for 12.You have to put on "steam cooking", gurgle - and you're done. But this is not the case ...

You yourself answered your own question. The multicooker takes and cooks porridge well for 2-4 people and in the Milk porridge mode.
For 12 people, apparently you need 2 multicooker. A possible option (though I never did it myself) is to cook the porridge in the Stew mode and set it for 2-3 hours so that such an amount is boiled, if at all it fits into the pan.

Good luck!
Willow
Changing the regime is a thought! Thank you.

Check the milk level - above the maximum mark? So you need to reduce the portion. And if below - then the cartoon should cope.

Willow When I need to cook a large portion of milk porridge, I run the program twice. That is, we set the "Milk porridge" mode, pressed "Start", when the program ends and the multicooker beeps, run the program again.
Willow
Village stove, I always follow the level. I'm generally surprised that she can't handle a lot of product. In theory, it is designed for 4.5 liters!
Quinn, get it! I had such a thought, it was just that there was no time left for a second cycle. I'll try.
Thanks to all the masters

I practically don't cook pure rice porridge - only half and half with millet. Everywhere in the evening - in the morning there is neither time nor enthusiasm. And about undercooked - when I cook a lot - I just repeat the milk porridge regime a second time. Everything turns out great. Try it!

Sorry for asking a question in this thread.
Hostess, and write to me, pliz, how to make milk porridge with noodles? I can't stand milk. And my husband adores. He asks me to cook. without multi - it was impossible to eat my dairy "masterpieces", now I want to pamper my husband and son with porridge, and the first order of dairy - with noodles.
Write a strict algorithm for a non-dairy non-mistress. Thank you
Qween

safoo , the moderator will scold us now.

My husband also loves milk noodle soup.
Milk porridge will not work. I cook on the stove or in the cartoon on the "Steam cooking" mode. I bring the milk with sugar and salt to a boil, add the vermicelli, stir and turn it off. Let it stand under the lid for 10 minutes, and you're done. Butter on a plate. I cook only once, one serving.
Admin

speak correctly, I will scold, if there is no such topic open.
Nastasya
Apparently it was not for nothing that Admin wrote that rice is for cooking porridge. I took ... well, probably another rice. As a result, the pancake is not the first, but lumpy. After the signal from the multicooker, it turned out that the rice was raw, there was a lot of milk (undercooked rice soup). I put it on the second run. But it's a shame.
Willow
Do not be offended . If you cook a lot, either put it on a second time or steam it. I cook almost a whole pot for children and always use the "steam" mode. Millet, rice, buckwheat and milk noodles. One problem - it runs away through the valve!
DJ
I started to master the Multicooker from your porridge. It turned out very tasty! ... I did everything strictly according to the recipe with raisins. The raisins have become so round, cool!

And for some reason my milk is curdled, in small white pieces. Of course we eat, but it's a shame

Tell me what to do? Maybe the timer is to blame, I put it on for 4-6 hours and pour milk. But curd pieces without sourness are just like cream.
Admin

We have already written many times that it is better not to put fresh milk on the timer.
For 6 hours in a warm place, it can curl up during cooking.

Many people advise to freeze fresh milk in portions in the freezer, and put a piece of frozen milk in the multicooker, it just melts in 6 hours, but does not have time to deteriorate.

Success

Admin, I have this problem. On Sunday they gave me a cartoon (I've been waiting for it for two years). Began to master. Last night I decided to put milk rice porridge on the timer so that it would be ready in the morning. In the morning I was terribly upset. The rice swelled slightly and was a bit damp. Rice took 2 cups, and 1 liter of milk.
I put it back on the Milk Porridge program. Now she is ready. Very tasty.
It turns out that 1 hour is very little for cooking. Well, that's not the case. Maybe you need to soak rice before cooking, what do you think? I would like to keep my participation in cooking to a minimum. Otherwise, why are all these devices?
klila
Rusya, I often cook rice porridge. Proportion - for 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water and 3 cups of milk. This makes the rice boil better. And I try to set the timer so that the porridge is heated for an hour, after which it just melts in my mouth. For example, porridge finishes cooking at 6 in the morning, and at seven I wake up and turn off the multicooker.
Good luck in learning new technology, and bon appetit
Atlantis
Proportion - for 1 cup of rice, 2 cups of water and 3 cups of rice.
Maybe I didn’t understand what it’s like?
Rusya
klila, the ratio of rice to liquid is 1: 5. I had 1: 3 and the porridge came out very thick. I'll try again like this. And then I already think maybe my cartoon is defective, it does not give the temperature that I need.

Atlantis , judging by everything there is a typo, you need 3 cups of milk.
klila
I have already corrected the typo.
Rusia, try experimenting first with a serving of one cup of rice.
The girls wrote above that if the portion is large enough, the multicooker may not cope with the "Milk porridge" mode.
Rusya
klila, I will certainly try smaller portions. But a liter of milk for a family of 4 is really that much? The saucepan is big. Maybe this is really the reason for the ratio of cereal and liquid?

And Admin, somewhere wrote about it.
Rusya
Yes, I've read about it. It's just a matter of what counts as a large portion. I will experiment further. Why did I want her (cartoon) for so long in vain ?!
Admin

I came

I cook in large multe rice porridge from Krasnodar rice, which boils well even on milk alone.
Parboiled rice is not suitable for porridge, it is better to use it for pilaf.

A large cartoon easily takes 1 cup of porridge and 4-4.5 cups of milk (without water).

If there are more cereals, the cereal may be incompletely cooked. Then it is better to put on the Quenching mode and 1.5-2 hours, readiness can be checked for bite.

A small cartoon takes only 1/2 cups of cereal without any problems.

ROMA !!!
Yesterday I became the happy owner of a multi. And the first thing I cooked is your porridge))) mm ... I don't like sweet milk porridge, but I ate this one with pleasure for breakfast. EVEN the father-in-law praised (in capital letters because he is the biggest fastidious in our family)
Thank you for such a delicious recipe!
Admin

Leolena, THANK YOU! Eat to your health!
Eugene true
Due to the fact that this multicooker does not have a "milk porridge" mode, it is necessary to select the proportions and cooking mode using the experimental method.

So, 2 successfully conducted experiments, and recipes for which milk does not exactly run away:

Recipe 1:
- Pour milk up to mark "2"
- Add 1 multi-glass of water
- Pour in 1/2 glass of round (for porridge) rice.
- We set the extinguishing mode for 1 hour. (you can use the timer)
Nothing escapes. Boiled porridge, liquid.
The yield of the finished product is about 3 servings.

Recipe 2:
- 0.5 l. milk (no added water)
- medium handful of rice
- Spaghetti / rice mode.
Well boiled porridge turns out, but without liquid.
The yield of the finished product is about 1 serving.

Admin, thank you very much for the porridge recipe !!! I often cook rice porridge, but I never guessed to add raisins, but it's so delicious
Here is my porridge (only I take milk in half with water and about 5 cups):

To health
And you try to add to porridge and apple, and dried apricots, and prunes, and fried pumpkin, and dried cranberries and many different other dried fruits - it will be delicious, tested!
julia-bor
Sometimes I make porridge with pumpkin. But I never fried a pumpkin, so I put it. And if you fry it, then what will it give?
Admin

If the pumpkin is quickly fried in butter (ghee) until golden brown, but so that it does not fall apart, the pumpkin acquires a great taste and the unpleasant raw taste inherent in pumpkin disappears.
I have a recipe for millet porridge with pumpkin, called. Pumpkin - look at the table of contents plizz, you will not regret
julia-bor
Thank you so much!!! I'm going to watch.
Murrr-ka
Admin, Hello
I am quite a beginner multivar, I tried to cook only three times.
Yesterday and today I tried to make porridge according to your recipe, only with a delay for the night.
I get a very thick porridge, I would even say a little overdried and with a crust on the bottom.
The first time I did it exactly according to the recipe, only I had a long rice and I set the time so that the porridge would stand for another hour on the heating.
The second time I added already 5 hours of milk and the heating was for half an hour. It's still very thick and crust.
Advise, do you need even more milk? Or try to find the right time on a different mode?
Admin

Murrr-ka, rice for porridge is better to use boiled, Krasnodar or other. Long grain rice does not give mucus in porridge, which is so necessary, and remains dry. This rice is more suitable for pilaf.

Milk needs to be matched to you, I use 4-4.5 cups for 1 cup of rice. The thickness of the porridge suits me.
The longer you cook the porridge, and keep it heated, the more the cereal absorbs liquid and becomes thicker, becomes covered with a film - the same porridge behaves when cooking on the stove

I cook porridge in the morning, for breakfast, and it turns out to be soft, moderately liquid and tasty
Uhvatka
Just cooked raisin rice porridge according to Admin recipe. Yummy!
The rice boiled perfectly (even he would not need heating) Do not be surprised that I do not cook in the morning and in the evening like all normal people. I'm just a nursing mom and I need to eat at night. Kashi is it.
So, more to the point. I took the usual round Kuban rice, from Mistral, it is also good for porridge, milk mixed with water 3: 3, though I added dried apricots to the rice, and threw the raisins after turning off and left on the heating as Admin advised.
Everything turned out very well
Thanks Admin.

Only the dried apricots were too sweet. Brr.
Admin

Uhvatka, thanks for the feedback about porridge

Instead of dried apricots or raisins, you can use any dried fruit to taste - try and select - it's unusual and tasty
Uhvatka
I will definitely try to cook it with other dried fruits, and then I'll tell you.
In the morning I cooked porridge for my peasants. We ate it with pleasure (hot, tasty) Thanks again!
