Note

The ice cream is soft, maybe more time was needed or left to cool. But very pleasant - a natural apple

And I determine the readiness of the ice cream by stopping the scapula. The rotation has stopped, then it is ready, it rotates a few minutes before the program stops, then I add the time.

I got a full bucket and I didn't see the scapula spinning or not. It seemed that no.
What if it stops spinning and I don’t see it? How does this threaten the ice cream maker? I just think if you set the time to the maximum, so as not to follow. So it is possible?

Len, I almost always have the scapula stop a few minutes before the end of the program. I do not interrupt the program, I leave it until it turns off automatically, so it is possible.
The instructions say when the mixture becomes thick enough, the paddle will automatically stop and the compressor will continue to freeze the mixture until the end of the working cycle

Lenochka, it does not threaten anything. The paddle stops when the mixture is already very thick - just the engine protection is triggered. Of course, you can set the maximum time. It's just that after stopping the scapula, the ice cream maker will freeze the ice cream, no longer stirring it, like in the freezer.
