Rolls with torn pork and lime mayonnaise (Jerk Pork Wraps with Lime Mayo)

Ingredients

pork pulp
thyme 1/4 tsp
water 1 glass
1 st. l lime juice
pita bread (or tacos)
lettuce
Red pepper 1 PC
mango 1 PC
sauce
low fat mayonnaise 1/2 cup
lime juice 1 tsp
lime zest 1/4 tsp
garlic 1 slice
onion taste

Cooking method

  • 1. Trim excess fat from meat. Sprinkle with spices. Place in a slow cooker. pour water over.
  • 2.Cook for 8-10 hours at low temperature or 4-5 hours at high.
  • 3. When the meat is ready, cool and tear into pieces using two forks, sprinkle with lime juice.
  • 4. cut the pita bread, (and line with lettuce leaves if desired) lay out the meat and sprinkle with chopped paprika and mango.
  • 5. Roll up and serve immediately.
  • to prepare the sauce, you must mix all the ingredients and serve with the meatloafs.
  • But, unfortunately, my memory slightly changed the recipe: I set mango and pepper to stew together with meat. as a result, the vegetable and fruit turned into puree and do not look very aesthetically pleasing in the photo. However, my friends, the meat turned out to be simply divine. I have never eaten that.
  • Since I do not have a slow cooker, I cannot indicate the exact temperature and cooking time. there is no data in the original recipe either. cooked in a saucepan for no more than three hours (pre-cut the meat into large pieces).
  • there is no lime mayonnaise in the photo (thanks to my "professional" memory). I can only say that the sauce turned out to be interesting and unusual in taste. the original version of the dish contains a red onion, I don’t know that, but IMHO, as an option, you can use our purple. I had neither one nor the other at hand, so I used the usual onion.
