Strawberry ice cream (E. Molokhavets, 1861, recipe No. 1908)

Ingredients

Water 500 ml
Sugar 200 g
Strawberry 200 g
Lemon acid 1/4 tsp

Cooking method

  • Puree the strawberries with a blender. Put sugar into the water, boil for 5 minutes, add strawberries, citric acid, cool. Transfer to an ice cream maker.
  • What can I say? Delicious ... it smells like strawberries ... Summer ...

Note

Original recipe: Boil 2 1/4 cups of water, 3/4 lb. sugar, add 1 1/4 cups of mashed strawberries or strawberries, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid to the hot, cool, in a mold, etc.

Issue: 3/4 pound sugar, i.e. 1 1/2 cups, 1 1/2 pounds, 4 to 5 cups strawberries or strawberries, 1/4 teaspoon citric acid.
