Recently, more and more often meat with a very strange taste comes across. It tastes disgusting, it behaves strangely when cooking, and the meat itself is different in structure. Couldn't understand what was the matter and why such a taste. And today I watched the documentary "Meat. The History of All-Russian Deception". In general, I'm shocked. In this regard, my question is where to buy normal meat in Moscow. I'm not even talking useful, well, so that you can at least eat and not spit.
The film can be downloaded here 🔗

Our man kept a herd of goats in his apartment. until the neighbors called the police, as the dukhan stood at the entrance of a spitsifissian ... and the man motivated by the fact that he wanted to drink organic milk. there is such a way out.
But seriously, this has long been a serious problem even for the historically agrarian south of Ukraine, what can we say about mega-policies then. It is not profitable to feed pigs with natural food now, just as it is not profitable to feed the whole year. if, in chemistry, the pig gains the necessary weight in 4 months. it is true that this meat is then unnatural and consumers get fat, but who is already interested in this.
and the answer, sobsno, to the subject. I buy meat in the market from "nailed" traders. though an old goat will not be put in instead of a young lamb.
Tanyusha
I buy chilled in the store Real Brateevo, I have never come across a bad one there.

Peace be with you bakers!
and I go to a farm in the suburbs and bite from a pig

But seriously, we \ 4 apartments \ are dumped and our neighbor - a long-distance trucker brings us meat from Mordovia - directly whole or a pig or a lamb, he's been there somewhere in the same place for many years, he has never had any low-quality meat

in principle, many can do this and it is not necessary to have a trucker neighbor, you can use a small omt, again, for several families
order with delivery directly from the farm selling price acceptable delivery if spread over several families will not burden either
here is an example for Moscow and the Moscow region

Brateevo is far away.
But the link is interesting, I thought ..........

And where is the guarantee that this pig does not eat chemistry on a farm or at a private trader? If it is economically viable? Farmers also know about additives and probably use them, as they do all over the world. Someone more, someone less - how can you check?
Boo Boo
You can't check it in any way and I think that it is unrealistic to buy meat without chemicals in our time, but what I bought a couple of times in the store is simply not possible to eat. The meat did not have a fibrous structure, but a kind of highly compressed porridge. It doesn't even taste like meat. You know, I want meat.
Bagel
To be afraid of wolves, do not go to the forest .. what they sell in the store does not resemble meat for a long time in appearance and taste, so farmers, even if with chemistry, is an even lesser evil. I used to take meat to Metro, but over the past couple of years it has gone bad. We go once every 1-2 months to Aleksandrov, Vladimir Region, and buy in the market from trusted sellers, at the same time I take vegetables, Korovka sweets in accordance with GOST, oil with the smell of seeds and other village joys. I freeze the excess meat. But even thawed meat smells like meat, and when I cut it before freezing it is a real thrill - the quality of the product is felt ..

Peace be with you bakers!
Bagel completely and completely agree with you of two evils as they say
and a good reminder about alexandrov- \ at one time we had a dacha in ryabinino for half an hour by bus \ so we always overstocked before leaving home in the market

and you can also supply a familiar farmer with money for food, so that he separately feeds the pig, as much as it should. I agree, not the easiest way out, but if you really want real meat ...
Mom lived with the kuma in the village (she has now moved), so she fed two piglets, and we threw off for feed. how wonderful it is - fresh pork
vlad1252
We mainly take meat on the Doromilovsky market, most often mutton from the same seller - always super. There is also beef and pork. Meat in the "metro" and other chains from large producers sold as "chilled" seems to be processed with something for safety. We also plan to establish a channel for the purchase of carcasses for several families directly from farms. Storage space problem ...

I buy meat in a small shop next to the house. Steamed meat and excellent quality: lamb, beef, pork; homemade chickens and turkey meat. The owner is trying. So far happy!
Even a fat tail (part!) Recently bought what fat is excellent

My friends! I read Temka and was directly glad that I did not live in Moscow. Our city is relatively small and there are markets where residents of neighboring villages sell products from their farmsteads. Their meat is always fresh. If interested, I can share my experience on how to choose the right meat, although I'm not a big specialist myself, if it's fair
Kseny73
We go to Kotelniki in Selgros (this is for Zhulebino) the prices are still reasonable. The meat is not stale. The only thing that is inconvenient is that the meat shop is open until 19.00. In the evening the assortment is smaller. Packaging date labels do not re-stick.

I can share my experience on how to choose the right meat, although I am not a great specialist myself, if honestly
Share, of course. We wait.
But the meat in your area ... When we go to Azov, we buy meat in Temryuk at the market. So I have never eaten better anywhere, meat is MEAT.
Ruru
Ok, I share my experience!
Chicken meat should not be whitish and not b. yellow, but something in between. The skin should adhere snugly to the meat itself and not hang on it, the meat should be. firm and dry. If the skin is wrinkled, in some places it lags behind the meat and is whitish - the chicken was frozen. If the skin is yellow, either American chicken, or old, or treated with something for preservation. I recommend always sniffing meat. It has a fresh smell, imagine a pleasant, almost milky one. If the meat smells of a sour smell, it was rubbed with vinegar to clog the smell of a spoiled, old, refrigerator, etc. You can press the meat with your finger, no moisture should appear (for weight, a special solution is introduced that expands the pores of the meat and saturates it with moisture).
Pork shouldn't be bright pink. If so, this is "bacon", that is, American, Canadian, etc. meat. In general, our meat is not very beautiful, natural grows almost in "natural" conditions and does not happen as in the picture. But the imported one, on the contrary, is always beautiful, its veins are all even, in general, like from the picture. The smell is the same as that of chicken.
If I am mistaken about something, please correct

celfh, I live 250 km far from Temryuk. But the meat really is. The less time passes from the moment of slaughtering to cooking, the tastier. Our vegetables are also very tasty, especially with meat. If you are in our area, I highly recommend trying pink tomatoes. The taste is extraordinary, I can't even believe that a tomato can be so bright in taste.
And if you pour it with ketchup (tomato), yes with a kebab
So, celfh welcome to us in the south to take a break from the bustle of the city and eat natural healthy products
In general, while at the counter, pay attention to those pieces of meat by which you can determine the size of the carcass. The smaller they are, the younger the animal, respectively, the meat is more tender. If you take a pork neck, see that the fat on it is white (and not with a yellowish tinge, which is a sign of old meat) and the neck itself is as narrow as possible (that is, thinner). The same is true for the rest of the pork carcass.

True, I am not from Russia, I live in Ukraine, but we have the same problem! It became impossible to buy meat in stores - the last time I baked chops in the oven, so there was no smell at all, except for spices! And to taste - just dry tasteless mass! The husband spat terribly! He's a lover of good food. True, we have a way out - twice a year the father-in-law slaughter the pigs and once a year the calf - but our family is big, so we don't have enough for a long time. I buy on the market, I try to borrow from the same sellers, although the result may not be quite expected, but certainly not the same as from the store! But the idea of joint purchases has matured for a long time, all that remains is to buy a big fridge!

I am from Omsk. Our meat tastes good. Numerous fairs are held on Fridays and Saturdays where meat can be bought directly from farmers. Pork 160-200 re / kg, beef with NG increased significantly: 280-350 re. True, yesterday I bought a piece of beef with a small bone for goulash for 210re / kg - it turned out very tasty.

And we throw off the neighbors and order in the firm Yasnye Zori Moscow - they deliver to us at home - it turns out very profitable - wholesale prices, and besides, you don't need to go to the store !!! Who is interested in contacts here 🔗

what is their minimum batch?
Anka-manka
and I buy in a store from a farm. it is quickly taken apart there (in the evening you come and there is little left), it always turns out soft and tasty, and when in stores like okey, real, etc., it marinates for several hours and still does not chew (((

I take the Near Slides in the farmers' shops, they are all over Moscow. Like it very much. The meat is chilled and tasty. I love pork, so I take it, I am completely sure of the quality of meat.
