  • I make waffles with cheese, sugar, honey (but honey often "runs away"
  • I buy ready-made tongues and I don't even roll them out, the dough can be rolled out, but not very thin.
  • Bake until tender, see the power of your waffle iron. Can be baked both on grill plates and in a sandwich maker.

Note

Waffles are a special type of biscuit baked from whipped batter containing wheat flour, eggs and cream. They are dry, porous, crunchy thin plates with a corrugated or cellular surface. In the finished form, waffles usually consist of several layers of wafer plates, arranged with various fillings of fruit, fondant, nut, candy or fat mass. The taste of waffles depends on the filling, they also determine their name - "Strawberry", "Pineapple", "Snowflake", "Nuts", etc. Wafers are also produced without filling ("Vanilla", "Coffee", etc.) ... About the cheese. Everything is delicious, but deliciousness depends on the type of cheese. I had Zvenigorodsky, quite well for myself, but I would like stinky more pillowy. Maybe Maazdam would be better ... They turn out to be really fatty. In addition, I put it down without rolling it out and almost completely using the cell size, so that the cheese was poured from all the cracks. I had to unfasten the latch.
With sugar, they are not so fatty, but the flowing caramel made me think about the finishing waffle, which would collect the flowed out sugar (which, by the way, does not darken). For this reason, it is worth baking cheese first.

I repeated it once more with cheese. All the same, cheese ones go better here. This is pleasing, because after sugar it is washed longer. Still, I recommend rolling out puff yeast three times thinner from the roll, otherwise the waffle is too dense. But when rolled out it is airy and crunches - the dough rises well. I left for coffee before everyone ate it without me ...
