Cod in beer

Ingredients

Fillet of white fish (I have cod) 1 kg
bacon stripes 250g
hassle 1 PC
celery 1stem
juice of half a lemon
butter 50g
Peppercorns, allspice, bay leaf
salt
light beer 250ml

Cooking method

  • Cut the fish fillet in portions, season with salt, pepper, wrap in bacon and fry in a pan. Cut the carrots and celery into cubes and add to the fish together with the spices, add beer and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Then gently transfer the fish to a saucepan, pour the beer liquid from the pan onto the fish.
  • Add the butter to the vegetables remaining in the pan and stir. When the butter has melted, rub the contents of the pan through a sieve. I used a blender. Pour the resulting sauce over the fish. Simmer until fully cooked, it took me about 15 minutes. I was guided by the sauce. It should become relatively transparent.
