Kefir 0,5 l
Bulbs 2 pcs.
Carrot 1 PC.

Cooking method

  • I put the cabbage in a sealed bag, tied it up, and sent it to the microwave at high power for 9 minutes.
  • She took it out and took it apart into leaves.
  • I poured boiling water over the rice and covered it with a lid. Gave it to swell for 30 minutes.
  • Cut the meat into pieces.
  • Since these stuffed cabbage rolls had to cook for 12 hours, I did not see the need to dirty the meat grinder, and just cut the meat into small pieces.
  • I cut the quince into small pieces, poured 1 liter of boiling water over it, covered it tightly and let it brew.
  • Fried onions and carrots in vegetable oil along with tomato paste.
  • Minced meat
  • Drain the rice, do not drain the water from the quince - it will still be useful to us.
  • We combine rice, quince and meat. Salt and pepper.
  • And we stuff cabbage leaves with this minced meat.
  • On 1 sheet, I put 2 tablespoons of minced meat.
  • Cabbage rolls with rice, meat and quince
  • I put the finished cabbage rolls in a slow cooker.
  • Poured 1 liter of water, in which we infused quince.
  • 0.5 liter of kefir, fried.
  • I added it and put it on a low mode.
  • My comments.
  • Set it to cook overnight. They prepared for only 11 hours.

Note

Now is the ripening season for quince, this aromatic fruit.

I was about to try a 12 hour slow cooker, and I thought I'd try to make cabbage rolls. On the net, I looked for recipes for stuffed cabbage, to refresh my memory of how it is done.
And in one of the recipes, I saw the addition of quince to minced meat. I decided to try it.

Not boiled at all, the taste is delicate. Quince is heard well, and gives a slight sourness.
My comments on taste, you can add spice more boldly. Or serve with mayonnaise.
I cooked for the guests. The girls really liked it. Yes, and me too, especially the fact that when you sleep, the pan is cooking.
