Winnie the Pooh cake

Ingredients

Dough:
Eggs 5 pieces.
Sugar 5 tbsp. l.
Flour 5 tbsp. l.
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Interlayers:
Poppy filling:
Poppy 1 tbsp.
Sugar 1 tbsp.
Butter 200 g
Marshmallow 0.5KG
Decor:
Chocolate glaze

Cooking method

  • Dough:
  • Sponge cake for 5 eggs, namely - beat 5 proteins into a strong foam, adding 5 tbsp along the way. tablespoons of sugar (at maximum mixer speed), add 5 yolks (while making the mixer speed minimum), 5 tbsp. tablespoons of flour (to which mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder).
  • Bake one cake.
  • Poppy filling:
  • Assembly:
  • Steam the poppy seeds, drain the water, grind in a blender. Beat butter until fluffy, add sugar, beat everything well again, add poppy seeds.
  • Apply cream to the chilled cake, "drown" the marshmallow halves in it (pink marshmallow looks bright) and cover with chocolate icing or melted chocolate.

My recipe changes:

I didn't like the measurements in tablespoons, I decided to bake an ordinary classic biscuit, especially since the technology is similar, and the proportions are close, well, let it be better in grams!

Biscuit baked for half a portion:

Eggs - 2.5 pieces (150 g)
Sugar - 60 g
Flour - 70 g
I didn't take baking powder, it's not for nothing that we learned from Tortyzhka to bake a classic biscuit. Baking in a mold - 20 cm.

Cream I also edited it to suit your taste:

Poppy, steamed, ground in a blender. Beat the butter until fluffy, add sugar, beat well again. I added 40g milk (for half a portion), poppy seeds, a handful of raisins and walnuts, dried, peeled and chopped.

Assembly:

I soaked the sponge cake with melted ice cream, put the poppy filling and the marshmallow of my own making on top, lightly pressing it into the poppy filling. Poured chocolate icing on top.

And I have been making marshmallows since school days according to the recipe that I posted here Tanya Giraffe Homemade marshmallow... I tried to add 50-60 grams of strawberry puree, I wanted to achieve rosy, but only due to natural additives, but it was clear that this amount was not enough, the taste was a little felt, but for the color this was clearly not enough! I was afraid to add more, you never know how it would affect the consistency, especially since the amount of gelatin did not change upwards.
