Anastasia, LudMila, I kneaded exactly what with knives - a universal knife, only without a red cover, it is also in 5529, look at the video - there are knives

you can knead any yeast dough with knives. The technology is as follows: add dry ingredients to the bottom, crank for 10 seconds, pour in liquid ingredients, mix for 20 seconds, leave to swell for 5 to 20 minutes, and then knead for 0.5 - 1.5 minutes until smooth. gluten develops wonderfully, and quickly there is one caveat - the water should not be warm, because the dough heats up from the knife and can overheat. in my recipe, I took milk from the refrigerator. after kneading the dough is not very hot, I'm in the next. once ubud take room T.

I myself am just mastering this method, if I learn something, I will report. I learned about him from Ludmila's LiveJournal from Toronto, but unfortunately this article in her magazine is closed.
dopleta
Ludmila, I would not say that the meat turned out to be perfect cubes, the sausage is chopped somewhat more decently. Perhaps because the meat itself was loose ...
Lisss's
Anastasia, I came to agree with you that the shredders are the same in our combines, and so you are right - they are excellent. Bosch has somehow improved them, they cut with practically no waste. much better than the 47th Mum, and there is nothing to compare with the 6th Bosch.

I went in a revolutionary way and grated the cabbage in the stuffing on the pies on the grater that had giant holes, and on the other hand - carrot. it turned out like this:

Bosch food processor - cuts into cubes!

now the dough again with knives I will mesh, as I do it - I will post the video from the very beginning
Lisss's
Yes, it seems to me, for the filling - what we need, and we have good combines, right?

Well, I'm not lucky with the video of kneading with knives - yesterday the batteries sat down, today - the memory card is full

in general, I post what is.

this is the first batch, then left for 20 minutes to swell. I, of course, kneaded longer than 25 seconds using the technology - I was carried away by the process of dough made from 450g of flour, 300g of milk. with him he jumps more than with 300 g of flour

I mix after 20 minutes of swelling

here is a report on pies made from dough and filling made in the combine

Are 5530 and 5540 the same thing?

5530 is on sale in Ukraine, for some reason I have not seen it in Russia. the difference between 5530 and 5540 is in two points:

1) the total volume of the bowl 5540 - 3.9 liters, and 5530 - 3.8 liters, but the useful volume of the bowl in both combines is the same - 2.5 liters;

2) in 5540 2 graters more.

that's it, there is no more difference either in power or in nozzles

Quote: Natawa

Lisss's, have you found a cube attachment and at what price do we have it?

Natawa, I have not yet found the nozzle cubes ready, assembled, I just asked in SC Bosch. to the service. centers, they can order all the parts from which the nozzle is made, bring and assemble. but they ask to come to them to indicate exactly what details are needed. but it's difficult for me to drive up - I have a small child. look, if you have the opportunity - drive up to the SC, here with this picture, and ask how much it will cost to order this. or you can wait until it appears in Ukraine, collected ...

Soria, which I answer for a long time, were looking for a place in the kitchen where to put a new toy, and I really wanted to eat
Well, yes Anastasia correctly says the courier and I were afraid to twist it strongly so as not to break it, and then I also realized that the capacity of the combine has such an eyelet that should go into the hole and block the blender. Well, the lid was closed rather weakly. Moreover, the first thing that worked for us was a cube cutter, and then in a calm atmosphere I figured out a little with the rest.True, my husband did not like that the container is very tightly attached and detached, with great effort, it is necessary to twist it very carefully so as not to break it. But in principle - cool. We rubbed 1 cucumber with 1 tomato on a salad in a few seconds (on a shredder), here's a cucumber is good, but I'm not sure about a tomato (maybe the pros in combines will advise on what is better to chop a tomato into a salad?). Whipped milk with blueberries with a blender, enough for 3 cups. For now, I don’t know what will happen next. Tomorrow I'll buy food for some salad, I'll try it again, so far there is nothing else.
P.S. sorry for possible mistakes - rubber keyboard ostoy ... I told my husband, don't buy a rubber one ...

With a start! The bowl is only fastened tightly at first, you pull it back and forth several times and it will develop. Tomatoes should be taken with a shredder, one that is 3 mm. It is sharp and the tomato, if not at all soft, should be cut. With a thin shredder (1mm), yesterday I chopped onion onions into rings for meat in French - it turned out great.

They write: "... pass at 2nd speed"!

yes, I did not immediately understand this place either - how to saute in a combine

and I appreciated one more advantage today. I bought a pot grater, like this

Bosch food processor - cuts into cubes!

and in 1.5 minutes she rubbed half a bowl of potatoes, then inserted a nozzle for kneading dough (with hooks) into the bowl, added everything else - well, a song! turned out "potato pancakes of instant cooking"

Can't you cook them on "native" graters? I'm talking about potatoes) And how much did the nozzle cost?)

it's unlikely to be with relatives, there is no such thing as needed - with teeth sticking up ...

And I did great and potato pancakes, and zucchini pancakes at home. You did everything at once at once, but don't you drain the juice from the potatoes?
Lambrusco, why were you so delayed in delivery? They brought me on the second day.
Also, for storage. In the instructions, picture N shows how to store it correctly. So here I am on top, despite the ban, I still stack all the grating discs. Of course, this must be done carefully and the lid should not be snapped in any way, but almost everything is in one place.
Lionsea
to dopleta: and on which grater from the "native" set did you make potato pancakes? on medium-grated or on coarse-two-sided? I just adore potato pancakes, but rubbing by hand ... this is a mockery ... and I just bought the combine yesterday, so it's scary to experiment ...

Laionsea, I have already tried both on that, and on the other - I liked both. Only the "medium grater" had more juice.
Aura
And in the morning I made the filling for the pies. Chopped cabbage into cubes. And I also chopped everything for borscht in my "Cube". This is what I affectionately call him. The only thing - I grated the boiled beets on a "medium" grater. It turned out to be somewhat small. Next time I will try on 2-sided, where there are large holes. Now I walk around and think: what would I stir up this in a glass mixer .... my hands are itching to do something ... it seems that I have already prepared everything, the whole family is well-fed and happy. And the refrigerator is already full of food ...
Aura
Maybe medium and rubs larger, but harder foods. Beets are soft for her ...
Aura
Girls, it turns out that the pusher consists of 2 parts - very convenient ... now I cut a salad: cucumbers, tomatoes, onions and peppers. Bow 1 mm through a thin funnel, everything else 3 mm also through a thin funnel. Just so that the product does not spin and you get even slices, you need to do everything in a pulse mode. Filled in the funnel - pressed M. How everything flew by - we repeat the operation. As a result, the cucumbers piled into crisp slices, the tomatoes were cut into halves, the onion was also cut into 4 parts, and the pepper into 8 parts. It turned out to be a very beautiful salad. Maybe it's not a secret for someone, but a discovery for me. This is almost my first harvester

while rubbing - it turned out almost a third of the cup of juice, poured it directly from the bowl, and that's all

It also seems to me that the average should be larger. It hardly differs from the smallest one.

they are cunning - they specially released another grater (I also bought it), in which the holes are just for beets, like this:

The article for ordering from Bosch is -461780 or replacement 468742 (disc grater-shredder). It goes as MUZ 4 KP 1, and MUZ 8 KP 1 is more expensive, although the same thing.

And more questions, what does the phrase in the description of the combine - "professional packaging" mean?
And where are all the attachments stored, that is, do you still need to find a place for them, or is everything already thought out there?
Can I make minced meat in it?
Anastasia
The attachments are stored separately. Unfortunately, nothing has been thought out for storage. Minced meat can be made with knives in a bowl, if this option suits you. A classic meat grinder is not provided in this model. What does professional packaging mean?
This harvester belongs to the compact group, so it does not take up so much space,
Length - 33 cm,
Width - 22 cm,
Height - 32 cm
if stored without a blender attached. In my opinion, its size is comparable to the size of a bread machine (for comparison).

Box: 40cm x 30cm x 46cm. Not heavy.
Lionsea
In principle, they are happy with the combine, they grated carrots, potatoes on potato pancakes, made olivieshka (very nice, the cubes are so neat, but one thing ... the plastic worn off a little on the disc itself and eaten into the center of the bowl Who whipped this disc, do you have all the rules? And then I was just upset ... My husband, even before this disc was turned on, just asked by his appearance - what kind of bullshit is that? bullshit really ... it's probably better to beat with a blender, a bowl is pathetic ooooooo ... Regarding the size of the blender - it's quite compact, I managed by shuffling the technique, still put it in the kitchen Last year we had very little space.) Now on my desktop there are: cartoon Panasonic-18, Boshik 5529, x / p Panasonic, on a small dining table - a coffee maker and a kettle, but the Panasonic microwave had to be returned to the dishwasher. In general, if the post there is always a place :-))))
Aura
I can't say anything about the disk yet, I haven't used it yet. But the press for mashed potatoes was a pleasant surprise. The mashed potatoes came out very airy. And yesterday I was making minced meat for cutlets with a chopper knife. She cut the meat and grinded it in about 500 g. Should it be so that at some point all the ground mass begins to fly like a sausage along the edge of the bowl? I tried to stop the machine, distribute the mass along the bottom of the bowl, but after a few seconds it is going to be sausage again ..... who made the minced meat? this is how it should be ???
Margot
Girls, please tell me the weight of the combine, otherwise you need to find out how much to pay for the shipment, thanks a lot in advance
Aura
not full and weighed on the kitchen scale:
4650 g - the Cube itself with a mixer and a cube attachment
1152 g - all remaining attachments
1018 g - box

Aura, this is as it should be, because this is not a full-fledged meat grinder, but only a chopper and it is best to grind dry light products in it. For example, how I chopped baked anthill or greens for freezing. Therefore, I will not refuse and will not give anyone my MUM combine, which has a full-fledged meat grinder.
Lionsea
to Anastasia: I think I understood what my problem was ... we first put on a nozzle, and eggs flopped on top of it ... but it should have been the other way around, most likely ... it's all my husband - oh well, they will fall down somehow ...did not fall but how will they fall down, if this nozzle, as far as I remember, is with sides? I almost nailed him

Girls, today I'm going to pick up Boshik!

This is my first harvester, tell me, the beets don't paint the plastic bowl?
And here's another interesting thing: if you grind a herring in a blender, will there be a smell?
Sorry for such stupid questions
Lionsea
I don’t know about beets, but even if it does paint, wash immediately with detergent and norms ... everything is better than rubbing beets with handles. But I would not chop the herring with a blender - it is greasy, how can I wash the blender after it? I here, out of habit, tried to wash the bottom of the blender with my fingers, I quickly came to my senses, otherwise I would have cut all my fingers ... it would be better to grind it in a large bowl, at least it's easier to wash it ...

Lambrusco, the instructions tell you how to deal with colored bloom after bright vegetables - with a few drops of vegetable oil.

Lisss's
Lionsea , the blender is disassembled - the bottom is removed, the flask and the bottom with the teeth remain - and it is very easy there in the instructions in the cleaning section everything is drawn, take a look
You don't need to climb inside - there are pins from the bottom outside, turn them for them, and the bottom will fall out of the bowl
Aura
Or you can not disassemble the blender, but pour a little warm water into it and scroll for 10 seconds, then rinse. Everything is perfectly washed. And to climb into it with your hands is scary, the knives are very sharp.
Lambrusco
I bought it!
I brought it. Now we will make mashed potatoes for dinner.

Girls, tell me, does everyone have a harvester number written in the warranty card?
I have MSM 5529 in the "model" section, but in the "serial number FD" column there is a flourish of the "similar" icon - two vertical dashes between two horizontal ones. Then someone wrote that the numbers on the combine and on the coupon must match ... And what do my lines mean? Maybe, if necessary, I should enter the number from the bottom of the combine there?
Anastasia
Lambrusco, the serial number of the combine is written in the guarantee, and there should not be any dashes where you have them. If you can, without spoiling the ticket, enter the number there yourself, good!

Quote: Lionsea

AnastasiaI think I realized what my problem was ... we first put on the nozzle, and eggs flopped on top of it ... but it was the other way around

Absolutely, first the food, then the attachment!
Lambrusco
This guarantee scared me yesterday! And the girls warned, damn it!
In general, I called their help desk, Moscow (myself from St. Petersburg), they put me in touch with a guarantee specialist, he said that in practice, in practice, the service department itself enters this number.
Well, I don’t run, I don’t change the coupon. I took a more reliable eraser and erased this dash to hell. Who knows which of the many numbers from the bottom of the combine should be entered there? Only a short four-digit one?

In general, I really like the harvester! Yesterday I made a puree - delicious! True, I was tortured then to wash the rub, even with a brush ... Then I made a milkshake with my husband: milk, ice cream, cranberry syrup. Very tasty, however, the husband said that he expected a more lush cocktail, that there would be more foam. Tell me, who did, do you get "fluffy" cocktails?
dopleta
Today I prepared a biscuit dough for a muffin with a whisk disc. Very much even nothing, 2 minutes - and you're done.
Lambrusco
By the way, I tested the cubes! They are even smaller than I thought, which is good news.
But washing the nozzles is of course a dreary ... And there is nowhere to put the dishwasher ... Eh.
In general, of course, I'm very happy: less than a minute - and the vinaigrette was cut for 3 days for the whole family! I didn't even have time to push the ingredients with the pusher, they just flew
Lionsea
Yesterday we wiped the potatoes on a wiper, the mashed potatoes turned out well, just awesome. With a manual crush, nothing can be compared, airy, tasty ... although they added only water from potatoes and butter So, I put "5" on the mash nozzle
Lambrusco
Girls, tell us, please, what is the difference between a utility knife and a knife in a blender? Both grind like, and what for what in particular?

And one more thing: when you make mashed potatoes with milk after rubbing, do you need to scroll with a utility knife or add whipping? If necessary, then how: is it put on together with the universal one or should it be scrolled separately?
Sorry, I'm just mastering it)))
Anastasia
In a blender, it is much more convenient to beat the liquid with knives and grind something in it, for example, berries in milk or bananas, make all kinds of cocktails. But various pates, minced meat, chop herbs, etc. are much more convenient to do in a bowl, and not with a blender. I use a utility knife to stir the puree after wiping. If the set included a full-fledged whisk for whipping, I would use it for these purposes.

Ideally, stir with a dough hook, then it turns out even and light enough.
Lambrusco
As for the mashed potatoes on the combine - I agree, it is very dreary to wash the rub from the potatoes (there is no dishwasher). And my husband grumbled that everything cools down while you switch the nozzles)) Although, if you pour in hot milk, then everything is ok

Ideally, yes, only this model has no hooks or rims. Therefore, we have to proceed from what is. There is a utility knife.

who plans to buy a mesh corolla for their 5529 - I want to tell about my war with him

he beats whites, eggs well, kneads a liquid biscuit. but when I needed to whip the softened butter - he refused to do this, the shoulder on which the whisk is attached, collapsible - consists of two parts. and so, when the butter was wrapped around the whisk, these two parts "sorted out" right in the bowl while whipping, I thought something broke - there was such a deafening crack. I corrected everything, turned it on - again the same thing. I got angry, I wound the weak point with electrical tape - and he beat everything up perfectly

this is how my whisk looks now

Bosch food processor - cuts into cubes!

They will not be able to knead the dough for the cake, the whisk is too thick.
Natawa
Lisss's! thanks for the information ! I just wanted to buy it. And now I do not know if there is an emulsifier disc, then do I need to buy a whisk? I am interested in beating eggs or is it enough disk? Luda, have you bought a cube cutter attachment? and do you use dough hooks or do you like knives? can I write a couple of questions to you in PM?
Lisss's
It seems to me that a whisk is better for a protein custard, and if you knead flour into the dough on a biscuit, or charlotte, in my opinion, the emulsifier disk works exclusively with liquids. and in my "modified" version, the whisk and butter beat well

I used dough hooks only once - I wanted to knead dough, kneaded with knives. after the knives it seemed to me an awfully long time, and the dough on the hooks was spinning right with the hooks in the center of the bowl ... I can't say yet if this is an isolated case or a rule, I haven't tried kneading with hooks anymore.

I haven't bought the cubes yet - it seems to me it's expensive to pay half the cost of the combine for them, I'm waiting for them to get cheaper

write in a personal, of course

I can give you some advice about potatoes. Maybe this does not guarantee against the transformation of mashed potatoes when rubbed, the varieties are actually very different, but so far I was lucky
For me, the solution was to use fryt potatoes for salads (cooked in uniforms in a hypertonic, that is, saturated salt solution). I think that the effect (potatoes are not boiled) is associated with a decrease in the amount of water directly in the potato.

"Freight" means boiling potatoes in a saturated (remember chemistry) salt solution, that is, such that the salt no longer dissolves. At the same time, the potato floats, it must be turned over at least once. Usually 20 minutes of cooking is enough. The solution can be used repeatedly (I keep it in a jar, just in a locker)

You need to cook unpeeled potatoes, "in uniforms." With a very steep saline solution, no salt enters the potatoes. and water is drawn out of the potato. The pulp retains a perfectly normal taste.
Submit a search engine query about this method.
Lika
HURRAH!! I joined the ranks of the "cubes" today. The venegrette, puree and fresh kalrabi salad have already been made.
It's not about boiling, it's about the high content of starch in the potato, because of this, when rubbed, it becomes like jelly or, in general, like a paste. Sad There is such a thing! I myself know that torment with her is exactly as she described it, it takes a long time and persistently to tear her off the grater. With just boiling potatoes, this cannot be compared - this is the worst option.
Faced a similar situation. But my potatoes managed to get smeared on the cube cutter. The cubes turned out, but very slimy (I cooked potatoes in a double boiler). But the mashed potatoes from the same kind of potatoes turned out wonderful, however, after rubbing, they beat them with an ordinary whisk in a saucepan.

And another question: I often use a blender, whip cocktails, literally 1-2 minutes at 1 speed. But all the same every time the smell of burnt wiring. The harvester has been running for 2 weeks now. Does anyone have such problems?

Yes, the same

Girls, do not worry, after all, this is not a smell of wiring, but of oils that are rubbed inside the mechanism. It will pass. It's just that everything is blurry. Fortunately, this does not affect the taste of cocktails.

Ordered! Although I suspect that they will hit me on the neck at home, But I'm cooking! And I ordered a bunch of baits: for cheese, for potato pancakes, for julienne and some other, it seems, as it was shown in the topic here, for beets.
I won't even bother with hooks, because, firstly, there is a bread maker (I love it), and when I made dough in the combine, I always mixed this business with a universal healthy knife, somehow on a whim, although there were hooks, everything was awesome with a knife done! and very fast.
Anastasia is a tremendous salvation! I will wait now. They will bring it on Saturday, because it is more convenient for me on Saturday. A very convenient store. By your link, by the way
Honestly, it's a dream to bungle Olivier! I do it very rarely, because with my hands I just torture myself to cut it all! Well, now I will do all sorts of hodgepodge, because I also really don’t like to cut cabbage - for a long time and not ideal, but now I’ll turn around.
